Not many people made Darrell Green look non existent. But, Irvin did it on many occasions and, Green is one of the coldest cats to ever step foot on a football field.
Man thanks for putting together one of the best vids ever featuring Cowboy receivers. Butch Johnson, Drew Pearson, Tony Hill, Michael Irvin, Alvin Harper some of the best receivers ever. Thumbs up.
Frank Clarke was the first star WR for the Cowboys who also taught Bob Hayes how to catch the deep ball...You rarely ever here his name mentioned or see him included in the highlights. Maybe theirs not much footage on him ? Dont know , but he was a hell of a WR !
I will never forget Butch Johnson's "California Quake" I think it's such a shame they don't let the guys celebrate in the end-zone. IF we could ever get there again lol
@nicksmom02 But even better than the "California Quake" was Paul Palmer's "Nestea Plunge," which he did after he scored a TD when he returned to Kansas City as a Cowboy in a game in 1989.
@xrtsplash Yes. I think Dez may be a better athlete, but definitely physical like Irvin. Irvin was a spark plug for the team. The Bryant/Austin tandem may be better than Irvin/Harper.
Thanks for including Drew Pearson's 4th and 16 catch against the Vikings in the famous Hail Mary game that just preceded the Hail Mary Pass. RARELY seen. Just three famous catches were left out. 1) The famous Danny White pointing to Drew Pearson pass in a playoff game against the Falcons 2) the Clint Longley pass to Pearson on Turkey day, 3) Butch Johnson diving catch in the Super Bowl.
The one handers by M Irvin and T Hill are incredible. BTW Drew Pearson belongs in the Hall of Fame.
drew pearson was the REAL number 88 in dallas, as was tony hill, butch johnson, golden richards, and so forth...all of these guys were gamebreakers and deep threats and won honestly, while the cowboys of the 90's were steelers dressed in cowboy uniforms, getting refs to win for them--they were and still are a complete embarassment to the real legends of dallas lore...its not the rings you won its the heart and soul you had getting there--irvin and co. had none, neve rhad to...
Michael Irvin the best there is was and ever will be. Jerry Rice ight have played forever but Irvin won just as many rings and was the heart and soul of the team of the nineties.
Pretty good sampling...need a litle more split ends here! Mike Ditka, Jay Novacek, and Billy Joe Dupree plus others. Preston Pearson (Dallas running back) was a great reciever catching the ball out of the backfield. Also more of Bob Hayes/ Don Meredith and the 60's recievers. Those were great teams that just barely lost out in the final seconds ( '65 and '66) to the Green Bay dynasty. But great footage here nonetheless! Thanks!!!
NICE video showing our great tradition of receivers!
Fun to see Aikman throwing again...
Thumbs UP!

@ 4:38 is a touchdown then...but today it would be ruled incomplete. Why do they always have to change the rules. Every year its some new rule.

When you outrun everyone within 10 yards, you can walk into endzone.
This is pro football.
Either cover him, or look like a fool.
