@detroitsports77 well sorta. they have issue with salt forming on the compressor blades and that can lead to serious engine failure in the form of KA-BOOM

@padrinoel We've installed a filter and an air box which has taken care of the salt issue. It' hasn't been a factor for over a year :)

Very true annoyingadvertiser, that's why the Miss Geico boats have a 50gal freshwater tank to inject water into the turbine fan blades. They had to rebuild the motors several times in their first year of racing but they don't have that problem now.

The key is inject water right after a "hosedown" to clear the blades.
