  • 2005 Great Year to be a Season Ticket holder lol

  • I seriously think that since Seahawks dropped Shaun Seahawks started going down :(

  • Shaun Alexander was the Seahawks GOAT!!

  • Are you guys listening to yourselves? The AFC wasn't nearly as dominant as the Seahawks were that year. SB 40 almost makes me sick, because we were the better team, we were the best team out of both conferences. Seahawks are getting back on their feet, and have had 5 players into the probowl this year. And @commy9191. Dude, shut your mouth. The Seahawks are a legitimate team on the rise; have you even seen any games this year? We have beaten very good teams (Ravens, Giants, etc.).

  • @SoundersandSeahawks not to mention the improvements the entire team has made. going from one of the last ranking defenses in the beginning of the season to TENTH. not to mention T.J is getting better. the receivers do work and seem to understand jackson. i think the offensive line needs to continue improving protection and he need one more pass rusher. other than that, 2012 will be our year.

  • 2:35 lol

  • And shaun alexander was the besthing that ever happened to the seahawks

  • I love this beat man

  • 2 bad seahawks suck dick now

  • Lynch please!!! Never on shaun alexander's level

  • Marshawn Lynch is better

  • look how good the offensive line is

  • Good memories

  • amazing year for Alexander and the Seahawks. The AFC was just so dominant. I'm not surprised we lost to Pittsburgh.

  • real talk

  • I think we should have won this superbowl. I am pretty sure we lost due to crappy referees.

  • i just noticed how matt hesselbeck was so slow, glad we released him.. and now the titans lost to the winless colts and next year we need to draft a new QB

  • beast mode Shaun Alexander always loved him

  • shaun alexander was a completely amazing back to watch, but he let his lil foot injury affect his run style waaay too much and it ruined his career

  • always have and always will love this guy he was such a beast

  • @Knifemyself this was 2005. LT broke the record in 2007

  • hes nothin compared to marshawn lynch

  • he always was a SR (SOFT RUNNING BACK)

  • @MrBeanerKiller -- very soft. I dont know if it was his knees or what. But he simply didn't have that aggression that the fans wanted to see...and never seemed to get up himself. I cannot remember a time seeing him on his back NOT holding his hand up waiting for help.

  • L.T. Holds the record gaylord

  • I have him on my madden ultimate TEAM HES 99 OVERALL AND its the hall of fame edition

  • seahawks rule!!!!

  • Shaun Alexander = best damn RB Seahawks have ever had. He scored exatcly 100 touchdowns 8 years

  • @roguespartan131 i have to agree he was pretty beast in his prime.

  • hmm. If u guys pay close attention it is the o line doin all the work...this guy was just good at finding wide open holes against shitty ass teams, not to mention how bad the nfc west was..i mean is. i guess i cant say im not surprised this guy is now watchin football at home.

  • @djZeRoF0Rce How bad the NFC is/was? The NFC West has sent two teams to the Superbowl since 2005. Thats more than the beloved NFC and AFC East has done in that time. Alexander is the #2 Rb of the early 2000's. Only LT has had more touchdowns and rushing yards during that time. NFL network has Alexander on their all Decade Team. Quit being a troll and learn some facts first. BTW. All rb's find wide open holes to run thru created by their line. It's the premise of rushing the football.

  • Were all of those broken tackles and jukes from his line also?

  • @djZeRoF0Rce Well dipshit you do realize ANY RB cant do anything without a line, your like all the others who bashed on him in his in his last two seasons, he did WORK from 2000 through 2007, the NFL lifespan of runningback is very short so stop being a bitch and learn how football works.

  • Wow. You want to really see dominance, focus on Big #71 on each one of these TD's. Amazing.

  • i miss him

  • the left side of that offensive line was pretty damn awesome

  • those were the days :/

  • You copyed the Wikipedia 05' summary

  • Comment removed

  • I paused it at the exact moment when the butt and tits come up

  • one of the best 1-5yrd runners this game's ever seen.

unfortunately for shaun, he was outplayed and overlooked by the play of Priest Holmes and LaDanian during his reign. And rightfully so.

  • why can't they run these kinds of plays with Peyton Hillis in Cleveland and their version of the west coast offense? Holmgreen has control of that team. Instead they run him straight up the gut every down when he has shown last year that he is excellent on the toss play and the stretch play, and he showed this Denver as well. If Hillis went untouched for 10 yards like this there would be some injured players who got in the way

  • LT for life! 31...lol

  • What ever happend to S.alexander??

  • @Irvin884 The same thing that happens to every running back at age 30, with only the exception of W.Payton and Emmitt Smith. 2,500+ carries and they all become average to worthless from the wear and tear..

  • @Irvin884 The Madden curse happened. The year after this MVP season he got hurt and Seattle eventually got rid of him and he went to the Redskins. his last season in 2008 and played like 4 games and faded into oblivion. The funny thing is he hasn't retired yet, even though he hasn't played in the NFL since 2008. He keeps hoping a team will sign him but no one wants him anymore cuz he got too slow and old.

  • UGH! reminiscing our o-line!

  • That MVP record belongs to the O line just as much as Alexander. I loved that guy but man he didn't have to do anything on half those runs.

  • thanks a lot for posting this.

  • madden curse

  • Shaun Alexander "THE GREAT" MAH ROLE MODEL

  • took this nigga first round in 06. shit the bed.

  • he had the lamest TD celebrations

  • @DJA216 Don't matter when your scoring em.

  • steelers stole the superbowl from the hawks and btw damn the madden curse he sucked after mvp year

  • i just realized how bad we were as seahawks fans to boo this guy during his last two years here. We expected so much out of him, but he didnt have hutch and injuries bugged him throughout the o6 and 07 season. He still managed to average 800 yards his last two season. more than marshawn or justin foresett

i give him props, and i hope is number gets retired in our building, along with matt, mack, and walter

  • @crazymanjonchin I agree with you Jonchin. Anyone who ever booed Shaun Alexander doesn't know anything about football. He was great, even when was playing with BROKEN BONES in his body his last two seasons.

    :)

  • @crazymanjonchin I will always respect Shaun, Matt and Mack to the fullest but that would retire too many numbers you dont want em ALL to be gone.

  • @crazymanjonchin Seriously. Ring of Honor. Marshawn is a worthy successor.

  • @crazymanjonchin not more than marshawn this year hes already ay 700 something

  • @taylorednigga marshawn lynch has passed the 1000 yard mark today! and that is since alexander in 2005 lynch is BEAST!

  • @crazymanjonchin i still supported him throughout his career even when he went downhill! He was still a great man and still had a positive attitude! such a great role model.

  • this was the fucking team!

best two linemen! with shaun and hassebek mack strong, darrel, bobby, and joe jurevicios

    this team was so sick!

  • the power sweep!!

  • this year we go back and win this time

  • Comment removed

  • what is the name the name of the song ???? :S

  • lame song for this type of video though, sorry : /

  • lets not forget mack strong was a beast

  • reminds me of 2002 ricky williams.

  • @IDxBeAsT Great comparison. Two absolute workhorses...

  • i miss the good old days. But after that season he started to do terrible

  • What the hell happend to him?

  • @nachocheezzz88 He got old? It happens to every runningback lol. The runningback wall is like age 30. When they hit it, they usually start faltering in production. It's happening to Tomlinson now. Barry Sanders retired just after age 30. So did Walter Payton

  • @nachocheezzz88 broke his foot and lost himself

  • @Colin2k41 ahh that sucks he was good lol

  • omg look at what teams the seahawks played no wonder he scored so many tds

  • Without Steve Hutchinson, Alexander would have done nothing In "05". The o-line took them to the superbowl!

  • Wow fail of a running back right there.

  • shaun sucked. all his touchdowns were because of his o line. look what happened to him after this year. the oline got hurt, and he sucked. overatted. pathetic

  • @nflpanthersO7 Yeah your team won one game last season, POWNED!

  • @UnitedGamerz101

hey dipshit, we won 2. do your researche before you post shit. stupid fuck. "POWNED"

  • Wow, the Seahawks o-line can sure make an average running back look good.

  • 0:23 .... Vince Lombardi was smiling in heaven when this was happening

  • i heat ya ericp6565 that was so gay

  • i hear ya ericp6565 that was so gay

  • roll tide

  • change the song to alexander the great, iron maiden

  • Such an amazing season. I'm still in disbelief that we lost that game.

  • Yes Alexander had an incredible o-line but the man had very good speed and a nack for getting through a hole and up field. I think a lot of the crap he used to get is bullshit.

  • too bad he disappeared off the face of the earth

  • That O-LINE is amazing!!! The only reason why the Hawks have sucked for awhile is 'cause of management; not the O-line. Management isn't addressing issues and still hasn't.

  • miss shaun

  • love # 8

He's pretty much like "Im sorry, are you having trouble falling? Lemme help you with that."

  • if only he would still play he is my favorite player of all time

  • Great running back... Roll Tide!!!

  • i wish we still had him!!

  • Alexander should come back to Seattle!!!

  • Why haven't the Seahawks retired his number yet?

  • @kboanddbo he didn't retire yet

  • @Colin2k41 They don't usually make a big deal about a player retiring when he doesn't have a contract with any team. He retired last year as a free agent.

  • Love Alexander, but he was very overrated. If it wasn't for Walter Jones and Steve Hutchinson, Alexander would have half as many TD's that he got that season.

  • @kdoggjr you can say that about any running back (and quartback). Only a few rare players like Manning (who can release the ball quickly from snap to throw) and Barry Sanders (who had the most negative running plays than any other RB but his o-line was horrendous). Imagine Sanders with a decent o-line.

  • @kdoggjr well ya. it wasn't for having awsome olinemen most great RBs wouldn't be as good. Emmitt Smith wouldn't have been as good without Larry Allen, Ladanian Tomlinson wouldn't have been as good without Marcus McNeill and Kris Dielman. Adrian Peterson would have a harder time without Steve Hutchinson, Chris Johnson wouldn't play as well without Michael Roos and David Stewart.

  • @avdbkr20 in 2005 shaun alexander had 1,880 yards rushing

  • hahaha all the highlights are agunst the cardinals... they suck SEATTLE BLU AND GREEN

  • If you pause it just right before the 2:35 mark, it shows how he scores OFF the field too! What's up with that?

  • 4 Steelers fans who know that the refs gave them Superbowl XL

  • @bodenslammer40 please get over it, i know there cheaters they just cheated my favorite team in the playoffs yesterday, that was 6 yrs ago... i am from seattle, it doesnt need to be addressed anymore,

  • Sweet video. Gay song.

  • shaun alexander was a product of steve hutchinson and the offensive line, wonder why he started sucking after they all got traded

  • cardianals run defense not so hot

  • Ahh I miss those days...

  • Miss Alexander, wish he was still around, he was a special talent. Thanks a lot for posting this video.

  • #37 forever

  • Number #37 forever

  • this video makes me sad, seahawks should of won the superbowl that year, fuck you refs and fuck you pittsburgh and rapelisberger!

  • 90 percent short walk in tds from amazing blocking!!! btw the steelers payed off refs that year, seahawks would of won if they wernt cheated

  • @ericp6565 ur just a paranoid h8ter

  • lol most TDs were not with the right side cause o the great line on the other side

  • @MegaMetagross17 one reason, Walter Jones baby

  • Nice butt at 2:35

  • @Yerizzo what

  • @icefly1000 lol, there's a pic of Shaun sitting with a girl and two other pics of a girls butt at 2:35. It's like 1/10th of a second.

  • @Yerizzo wrong haha, there's a picture of shaun sitting with a girl on the left, then the top right is a girls boobs, the bottom right is a girls butt.

  • the reason why i used to be so proud to live in seattle!

    but now look at us......

  • dang the madden curse must have messed him up real good cuz he wazz mvp now nobody even brings his name up

  • Alexander was good, yeah...but look at the line he was running behind. One of the best o-lines in recent years in the NFL PERIOD was there. Now, if only Lynch could get his mojo going with those kinds of body guards....

  • what an explosive back he was, i miss the 05 seahawks:(, damn you steelers

  • Shaun isn't remembered as he should be because of Ladainian tomlinson, one of the best backs to ever grace the field

  • he broke his ankle and didnt do good after so he just retired after the skins fired him

  • people quit comparing ap to shaun in his glory days, these are two different runners and two different generation of running! shaun was great, yes, was he a stepping stone for others to learn from and get better, yes sir! thats y u look at him and think hes no good because other people learn from older players and perfect their game!

  • What happened to him?

  • @RarelyEvenn Oh he's a free agent now. Hes' not really that good NOW but he is one of the best running backs in NFL history. Hes' still eligible to play but nobody wants to pick him up.

  • @TheSeahawkfan51 Would you put him above Adrian Peterson?

    Honestly.

  • @RarelyEvenn Well how he was playing back in 2005 then yes. But if he was going against Ladainian Tomlinson then no. Ladainian Tomlinson is probably the running back ever. He surpassed Shauns TD, Rec, Att, and yds. But Shaun will always be the best in my book.

  • that was a special year for us. the offensive line was the best in the league. that made shaun more dangerous and it made the whole offense a juggernaut.

  • @wnano21 lol shaun had one good year, ap strings together consecutive good years. shaun as a whole is in no way better than ap. & no, i think ap fits in perfectly with the vikings offense

  • @wnano21 ap has a terrible line, yet he does work. case in point

  • great player.....sad to see his decline i heard the madden curse fucked him over wen he broke his leg, he will always be remembered

  • I was about to like this video because the highlights were awesome, but the subliminal frame was just unnecessary. thumbs DOWN

  • @avdbkr20 he had 252 carries that season

  • Also, I have to second what these guys are saying about Alexander's line... Any reasonably competent NFL running back could have made 95% of these. His celebrations are more impressive than the runs themselves.

  • Nice subliminal frame of Alexander and some chick at 2:35.

  • he sucked. his line was one of the best ever

  • anyone's Garndma could have run through the holes Walt and Steve provided....

  • @dhide14 I agree it was because of Big Walt!

  • music sux

  • my favorite shaun alexander game was the snowy game vs gb on monday night football were he had 40 carries for 201 yards in 2006

  • Geez he makes it look so easy. He runs through so smoothly.

  • @madpaintbalerx that's cause he had Hutchinson blocking for him.

  • how many ayrd did he have that season cuz he looks to me like he scored all hid td from the 5 yrd line except one?

  • @avdbkr20 1,880

  • @Colin2k41 on how many carries?

  • Can't forget Mack Strong. He was legendary that year too. 90% of this video, he's right there, leading the way.

  • wow, i rember that year i admired shaun alexander soooo much and i wasnt even a seahawks fan, tha seahawks still hav plenty of upside with Justin Forsett

  • i miss those days T_T that ring shoulda been ours

  • @hanxdynasty steelers won fair and square

  • @MENKO43 my ass. The ref even apologized a couple months ago about his shitty calling in the Super Bowl

  • The only touchdown that rang a bell in this tribute was the 90 yard run at arizona. I remember me and my dad jumping up and down all excited. To bad we don't jump up and down to much watching the seahawks anymore. Ever since they got rid of Steve Hutchinson they've gone downhill.

  • He was only good because of Steve Hutchinson and Walter Jones on the left side of the O-line.

  • Man, he was an outstanding runningback. He really feel fast though. Still, awesome player, I'm happy he could do it in a Seahawks jersey!

  • @ 2:35 I like the disney-esque subliminal clip :) Nice Video!

  • Not only was that Shaun Alexander's greatest year but it was the Seahawks greatest year as well. Go Hawks!

  • i forgot how good he used to be! :)

  • he is a free agent who should go to the redskins since the seahawks don't want him

  • @52footballplaya blahh what the hell was i thinking i forgot he played for the redskins to sorry had a retard moment

  • Shauns my nigga. He was nasty that season. Too bad he went down hill from that season on.. Where is he now??? lol

  • I wish he would have stayed with seattle. People please don't lose faith in the seahawks, They have had a wave of injuries, and all they need to do is rebuild a little. Good start with Pete Corral, HE IS A GREAT COACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
