The only difference between the Z28 and SS is the hoodscoop and a 15HP difference, 310 for the Z28 and 325 for the SS. The engine internals are all the same. The hoodscoop really doesn't add 15HP, so they're both about the same.

@ROBBY639 Secondly. The LT1 (1993-1997) and LS1 (1998-2002) Camaros (which were in Z28 and SS models) beat the GT Mustang consistently. The only Cobra that could beat an LS1 was the 2003-2004 Cobra, which was supercharged and made 390HP. The 4.6 DOHC Cobra making 320HP against a 325HP LS1 is a driver's race...could be anyone. But more often than not the LS1 will win it.
