@devilzmantis first of all, im asian. second my BMW M6, with a V-10 has 500 horse power. I am saying that with a V12 you can have way more power. A fucking Cadillac CTS-V has 550 horsepower with a V-8. Aston Martins always look sexy but the horsepower is low for what engine they give it.

@m6b0i sweet, my M3 has v-8 414 and I can't even handle it on a turn with the DSC off!! all i'm saying is it's not the HP or the big engines... it's the torque and performance. A 650 HP AMG can't keep up with a 414 HP M3 on a track or even on a windy freeway! Bigger is not everything... look at the Porsche 911 Turbo. It has far less HP and is a rocket drag racing or on the track.

First of all, its a naturally aspirated engine - no turbo/super charger so 510 as standard, is not too shabby. Secondly, its a GT car, not a super car. If your hearts set on an Aston but you want more power, I'd suggest a one-77......

Well the BMW has to make up for being dam ugly some how I guess! Car's like this aren't all about power. Aston produce a 730bhp V12 so I'm sure if they felt the DBS needed more power, they'd do something about it!

@artherjob I know that some people are like, oh BMWs are fuckin ugly and shit like that, but to me, the M6 is sexy as hell. Aston Martin always put large engines in their cars but do not give it a lot of power. Thats what bothers me, Aston Martins are sexy as hell also, but their engines aren't as good. If the engines had power, then i would have gotten a V8 Vantage which only has 400 hp, but then that costs more than a M6 which has more power.

Lucky your able to make that choice, I'm stuck with an MX-5! Power wise, your probably better off with the BMW. You dont buy an Aston based purely on power. You buy an Aston for luxury, style, "enough" power and great handling capability. Not many car's offer all of those as one package - If I was you, I'd consider the new Jaguar XKR-S :-)

I laugh at everyone comparing ferrari's and lambo's to astons.. yeah an aston may not be as fast.. but its still... 50-100k cheaper.. plenty of room for some upgrades if you ask me! And comparing lower-priced cars like corvettes to Aston's... well yes a ZR1 is faster and cheaper... but... 191mph inst fast enough? People forget its not all about speed. I'd take this car over all others because it has something most other cars lack; POWER, BEAUTY, and SOUL!

there are butterfly valves that open and close in Aston Martin exhaust, and this determines exhaust volume and tone. they wont be wide open until you reach 5k rpms under heavy acceleration. you can disable this circuit and keep the valves open all the time no matter your revs thus giving you a much louder exhaust. to disable the circuit you can pull fuse #22. its a quick and really easy mod and makes the exhaust note really really nice.
