The silvia is just a branch of 240s and 180s. America got 240s. Jdm got 180s. Its just a name. Same car Little differences like climate control. The biggest difference is that 180s have an sr20 or ca18det. american 240s have a ka24de

america got the weaker 240 with the ka24de...i dont think you realise how much power ka's have. With the STOCK t25 sr's come with, ka24dets make 225-235hp at 7psi while sr20s make around 204 at 7psi. I'm not even mentioning the tq advantage. Keeping in mind its about 150 pound difference, the tq makes up for it. Sr's are better for drift though, they take poundings.

Well, if you would rather make a car lighter instead of having 500hp, get the SR. If you want the motor that was designed for the car, get the SR. If you want a motor that you don't have to spend 3k for a turbo for the KA and have major problems down the road, get the SR. It's much easier to just get the SR. It's WAY lighter, its pretty much fast enough stock, and, like i said, it was the engine designed for the car.
