Lovely. Although this is a reel there's enough going on in the notes to give a real sense of the tune - and that's what its all about, nothing is lost in the melee of a fast pace.

Puts me in mind of the "Loitering White Serrgeant' i.e a version of the 'Dashing White Sergeant' played at a slower tempo something like this. Not bad at all.

it puts me in mind of a 2/4 march. Perhaps we may hear a rendition of the good father from Barra and himself the pipe major from Wick if he has a mind to, in the future.Maybe even Major Mancell but perhaps that is asking too much.

Patty fulong new york plays this one very nicely a little faster but i like this slow speed

Sometimes when a reel is performed in reel time and faster, the opportunity to savour each note and appreciate it is missed.I have no such difficultly in this beautifully crafted version. I would prefer this to the 'go faster' attitude of many musicians as a Scot with more than a little knowledge and appreciation of good west highland 'box' playing.
