i used to get off work about 3 am and go bowling at the star lanes in hollywood (where the big lebowski was filmed) because they were open 24 hours and we didn't feel like going home lol. we'd sneak in a 6 pack of beer and pour it into paper cups and bowl till 5 or 6 a.m. i always loved that place because it felt like we were living in the movie. this was before the city tore it down, of course. ah well at least i got the opportunity to see it before it was gone...

The magic of this scene is at one moment you are laughing hard & the next it makes you want to cry. There is true love in this scene, for Donny & the love Walter has for the Dude. Walter, for all you want to hate him for being such an ass throughout the movie, you fall in love with him watching this scene like he is just a huge clumsy fool but with a heart of gold. This scene flat out makes The Big Lebowski the masterpiece it is. Thank you Coen Brothers for making such cinematic gold, again.
