ya i can understand why if your in a wheelchair all day you would want it to be comfertable. some companys just dont do enough research i guess. as for the phone issue i think you have a great idea lol! id totally listen to jerry seinfelds comedy routine if i couldnt hang up the phone.
Many companies are not about satisfying the customer. They're about selling stuff and then telling the customer why they should be satisfied.
In Japan there's a chain of eyeglasses stores called Megane Suupaa. It's mandatory that everyone in the company wear glasses so they understand their customers.
Am curious to see what your perceptions will be if/when you get here.
I'm a new subscriber. I can definitely see why you were recommended. My grandmother hated her wheelchair too. I think they should test them on people that will actually use them.
Righteous rant, man. I've known a couple people who've had to deal w/ wheelchairs, and they seem to run from inconvenient to torturous, depending on how intelligently they are made.
I don't imagine most of them are checked out in any meaningful way by actual prospective users prior to production. The thing w/ the bolts on your footpad sounds esp. stupid. WTF?
There's poor design and then there's not thinking about design at all.

The only reason that Medical Devices are so expensive is because, They can charge what ever they want because it's a MD. I know right it's fucked up.
