My fav main is the Spitfire, then the BF 109, then the Mustang (sorry itd be first but i hate that ugly air intake under it) then the YAK 9, which is cool but theres nothing really special about it.

@JohnQuincyAdams1 Yeah id try to fly the best one if I had to fight with it, but since i dont, I worry more about the aesthetics. Ive got nothing against the enthusiasts that are technical brainiacs being a pilot myself, but i try to worry more about the tech issues of planes I can or might fly and just the looks and sounds of the relics I'll hardly ever touch.

@stutzbulldog - Yes indeed, the Fw-190 was the best plane ever! My gosh it could take on an F-14 Tomcat and smoke it!  lol

@JohnQuincyAdams1 ME 109 was a better plane during the battle of Britain as it has direct petrol injection which meant unlike the Spitfire (Carburettor ) that it wouldn't stall. During steep dives and climbs the flaot chamber in the Spitfires Carburettor would flood with fuel causing the engine to stall.
