that's truth. dave defenitely is one of the quickest guitar players in history. but most people think that slash, kirk and so one are the best ones and they even don't know murray, even he is much better than those who are at the top of the best worlds guitar players. that's why he is underrated guitar player. in my opinion the most underrated guitar player. he should be at top 5!!

@TheTrooper80 Dave has great legato but he's very repetitive. Slash is on another level, he has way more unique phrasing in his solos, and he mixes in the wah often.

I'm a huge Maiden fan, but I would never consider Dave one of the best. Adrian, well that's another story.

It was on the world slavery tour,(powerslave tour ) 1985, steves bass gear, all hiss amps went out and broke down so, bruce found the closet guy on the edge of the stage he could, and it was a lighting rigger, and said go tell nicko to extend the drum solo steves bass amps is stuffed, and the rodie got nicko distracted and f****d him up so he decked him after the show.

not sure if same show but he got a roadie sacked for nudging him & shouting in his ear when a simple note in large letters 'extend solo as steve's bass rig is down' or something would have done. It was bruce he came close to maiming after 'arry sussed the aftershow row was being taped!
