It's a shame Toy Story didn't win, but John Lasseter was right; it was an honor just to be nominated. And who cares about a little golden man? Hannah Montana has awards coming out her wazoo; doesn't mean SHE'S any good!! Toy Story is my favorite movie of all time, and the ONLY movie I have ever seen that was almost made better by its sequals (it was amazing in 1995, still amazing now, but it has 2 equally amazing sequals)!! John Lasseter, may God continue to bless you!

@ztslovebird I completely agree!! it could just be me, but i think other Pixar sequels like upcomming Cars 2 and Monsters inc. 2 will not be as amazing, not because of story but because I don't think there will ever camparison to Woody and Buzz as far as easy-to-love characters. Thats the reason why I would liike for it to win best picture. not because of specifically TS3, but because of all it has worked for and gained over the years. If TS3 dosen't win the title. I highly doubt any after will.

@ivanpanggabean John Lasseter is the one guy at Disney who we can count on to bring Walt's vision and ideals back to life!! In a way, he and Disney have a lot in common. They both started in fields that people told them were doomed to fail (hand-drawn animation and CGI), both were pioneers in creating AMAZING films with those technologies, and both had the opprotunity to go nyeh nyeh nyeh nyeh when their movies did better than anyone could've imagined (but were mature enough to refrain, lol)!

Just like Uncle Walt, Spielberg and Lucas etc., John has continually aimed not just to advance filmmaking as an art, but more importantly to provide the young and old with genuine inspiration, wonderment and joy. A true legend.

Disney= King of 2-D/ Traditional Feature Animation

Pixar= King of 3-D/ CGI Feature Animation

The two Kings of Feature Animation (Disney and Pixar) just make the greatest animated movies.

Disney knows how to adapt an original story and make it FANTASTIC.

Pixar knows how to create an original story and make it FANTASTIC.

They're both GREAT and THE BEST at what they do with both forms of animation and that's why I think they are the two Kings of Feature Animation.
