It was an great hounour if somebody else used pieces of earlier works from another composer.
The word stolen is not right , in those days there where no recordings
or MTV, By the way Haydn was a great infuence(and Friend) for Mozart witch make the music from both composers only beter!
Beautifull in any way, Bach was and is still an inspiration today for many composers & mussicians, and he always will be!

they all stole from each other pianohero3. Most of Haydn's earlier works were closely matched to CPE Bach. Haydn derived most of his style from him.

For some reason, the opening four measures remind me of the chorale from Bach's "Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme".
