  • World Culture Open (Cultural competition)

  • in a interview she said, that time her ankle was injured, but she insisted to perform. When on the stage, as she started to dance several steps, amazingly she didn't feel any pain on her ankle and there she kept dancing. Until the final step, she felt her ankle can't be moved again, thus made her couldn't stand up. The juries was very shocked to found out she was injured yet she could perform outstandingly.

  • ufffffff i have no words to describe the beauty of this dancer and music and and and ............

  • loved the performance. thanks for uploading. the uyghur dance is so beautiful ... are there any classes available on dvd?

  • Hey, I'm Pakistani too! I find this fascinating and beautiful as well, so you're not alone ^^

  • nice performance..and beautiful dance.. with that outfit, and song so beautiful..btw..wher is she from ?

  • she is from Xinjiang,China. She is Uighur's wellknown dancer , famous for her sharp technique and sweet performance. Her name is Dilnar Abdulla. she also sings as well.

  • nice!live long my uygur people!

  • Dilnar Abdullah ,we Uyghurs proud of you!

  • I see lots of elements that belong to Turkic nations in her dance. But she herself is great as well as the dance!

  • This woman is a real treasure! Such beauty of expression!

  • I haven't seen Mughal-e-Azam, unfortunately, but the headdressing, the jacket, the skirt and the pants of the dancer are traditional Uigur.

  • Mughal-e-Azam is one of the greatest hits in Indian cinema, so if you're bored on a rainy day, watch it. (Its pretty long though)

I guess the similarities between the people, like "aliyam95" said, is the Turkish culture. You always learn something new! :)

  • She resembles Anarkali from the movie Mughal-e-Azam. The dress definitely suits the dancing clothes from the Mughal empire from India.

The dance is beautiful, and so is the dancer! Thanks for the post.

  • I watch the "Mughal-e-Azam".It's great movie! And Dilip Kumar is awesome!:)))Movie always seems to me as Uyghur!Realy!:))))!But Bubur etc. there are turkic.Thats why it's looks so similar to both sides!:)))Good luck!

  • In my A.P. World History class, I also read that Babur claimed that he had a little of Ghengis Khan's blood in him from his mother's side. The world really is connected. :P

  • Yes,he had from mother side blood of Chingiz Khan and his father was from Great Temurlan family. But Babur spoke turkic language( it's his mother(oeps, father tong:))!),arabic and persian(farsi)-this two languages was normal for all turkic from "elite"-class:))!And he didn't spoke mongolian. But he has mongols in his army, who came as "kalym" from his moms side.:)))But it's true:world is so small, and especialy in Central Asia everyone is mixed,I think. But still,I am proud to be an uyghur!:)))

  • yes, good point!

because so called Mughal emperors were not mongghuls ,even though their ancestors have some monghul blood ,they were Turks .especially the founder Zohuridin Babur spoke same language with uyghur people, and have same apperance ,same culture with uyghur people according to his book "baburname"

  • Mughal's are Turkic people who ruled over India/Pakistan. The Sultan who build the Taj Mahal was a Moghul Turk. We Turkic people and you (Indians; Hindu's, Paki's, Bangladesh the same people except different religion) have more in common then you think ;)

  • Agreed. Everyone in the world just needs to be a little more open minded and remember that the world is indeed connected.

  • Perfekt dancer,beautyful girl !

  • You can't compare this non-regional dance (chinese??? —with violins and all that stuff???) with Peruvian or Indian dances!!!

  • It is a nice dance but it is not Chinese, it is Uyghur. Uyghurs are related to Uzbeks, Mongolians, and other Altaic people.

  • Oh my...

    Amazing. Fantastic, Breathtaking...

    Great dancing!!!!
