Funny thing about the original. It's origins are in the song. John Phillips and his girlfriend were in New York, it was freezing cold and they went for a walk and came to a church. One of them remarked that they wished they were back in Los Angeles. John was hit by a burst of inspiration and went back to the hotel where he spent the next 8 hours hammering out the lyrics and music.

I'm sorry but, of course their songs are beautiful and it's so soothing but they (Scala and Kolacny brothers) basically pick the most loved songs and remake every single one of them in this psychedelic chorus tone. It's really sort of played out and that's where they get their fame from, well no duh! they pick songs that are legends in their own and remake in a style every person would love.
