Perhaps they wanted to make an example out of Mr. Steele to scare other lawyers who might wish to represent a party with an opinion unpopular with the government. I understand that some lawyers are threatened and/or punished for successfully representing people against IRS prosecution. That's kind of interesting when you consider that lawyers never get sanctioned for representing mass murderers, rapists, cannibals, or any other kind of the most genuinely heinous criminals.

Why would the government go to this trouble of setting up Mr. Steele? I can't understand the evil behind this? Ruby Ridge is another prime example of this injustice. Mr. Weaver owned them in court and won his case. Although winning his case served him no justice, it did NOT bring his wife back or his son that was shot in the back, along with their family dog. The government workers that did this never served NOT one day for this and are still gainfully employed.

People who think the dude was framed have nothing to go on except wishful thinking. His reaction to the cops telling him wife was dead wasn't good nor were his love letters from prison to the Ukraine. When you don't allow defense to present their case and you stack the jury, it's clear that justice is not being served.
