controls doesnt suck, for all 3 well 4 options the controls work relatively well, but wiimote and nunchuck personally is my fav, i recommend u experiment

@Vinnyvango1 No. Either use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk or use a classic controller. There are certain gesture-based commands that you can't do while the controllers are locked in the Zapper.
I bought a Wii exclusively for SSBB and now, I have a new game to add to my collection!!! Also need to dust off my N64 and have a Goldeneye tourny with some of my peeps!
I have to admit, this game does have a Nintendo-like feel to it so it's FUN, and doesn't retract the feel for realism which is funny, because the solo campaign is still immersive.
im confused I saw another review for this game and the graphics looked awsome but now while i am watching this it doesnt look that different from the n64 game but i am no saying that that is bad because graphics has nothing to do with gameplay but it will be harder for me to play it because i have bad eyesight
trust me the graphics are good, their not the best wii graphics, but they are a lil bit more thn decent, trust me, if u get the game, and go to the jungle level in campaign it looks gorgous, multiplayer doesnt show the full graphical capabilties

Have you actually sat down and PLAYED a little through Goldeneye Wii or are you judging it off of videos? I just got the game and its damn fun. It does everything a remake should do; It changes the gameplay enough to make it feel original, but still maintains what made the first one great.
I still play PS1 games because good gaming is timeless IMO. Even Goldeneye N64 is still fun. Plus both versions offer something most modern shooters don't: A long satisfying campaign.
You must be lucky to say that almost every game is fun, as I've played many, many games that are not fun. Games can definitely be outdated presentation-wise, but good gameplay can last forever. That's why Final Fantasy VI is better than XIII. Graphics are just icing on the cake. This may not look as good as good as a PS3 or 360 title, but it's just as fun, and that's what counts.
@TheGravitationist After that FF6 > FF13 you have my undying respect. Butyeah Goldeneye's technology is really top notch. I think everyone should check out the Wiimote + nunchuk capabilities in this game before they judge it too harshly, cuz honestly its really freaking well done. Not only that, but they actually used the gyro function in the nunchuk, which companies rarely do. And for 20 bucks, I want my nunchuk pushed to its technological limits.
@TheGravitationist I have sat down and played it through. I own it. And I STILL think its a CoD4 knockoff. And Quantum of Solace did CoD4 knockoff better. Lets not lie, but its a good game for the Wii. I prefer playing the original on emulator myself.
Oh, they could have done a better job with it, no doubt. I would have preferred a slightly more faithful recreation, but I still think it's definitely worth buying for any Wii owner.
Being completely fair, GoldenEye: Source is worth checking out if you wanted this game to be the N64 game updated. I see people defending how changing everything is the way to go, well if you want to play a game that's not GoldenEye, I agree. Otherwise, check out this free mod.

i think it would have been better to leave goldeneye and make a new game a ORIGINAL GAME. why with da remake. Having no gadgets is not strictly true, all the mines are back (eg, normal, proximity. etc), you just have to rack up online to unlock them.

BTW, I am going to point out a contradictory experience on YouTube when it comes to the online play: Wiiviewr. In his most recent review, this game, he had an overabundance of lag to deal with.
If someone is considering purchasing this for online play, they should remember that the quality of connections can vary from this unhindered bit of gaming bliss to Wiiviewr's unceasing chore labeled a game.

this this didnt have the goldeneye name attached and released on the ps3/xbox, i could bet my life it wouldnt get a score higher than 3/10
its so overhyped, its not doing anything new, the graphics suck, the game engine is average
the original was sucessful for a reason, it was the best in its time. this however isnt
i cant see my self playing call of duty after 10 years when theres something a hundered times better on the market. i rate cod games 9-10 now, will i do that after a decade? HELL NO

Have you actually sat down and PLAYED a little through Goldeneye Wii or are you judging it off of videos? I just got the game and its damn fun. It does everything a remake should do; It changes the gameplay enough to make it feel original, but still maintains what made the first one great.
I still play PS1 games because good gaming is timeless IMO. Even Goldeneye N64 is still fun. Plus both versions offer something most modern shooters don't: A long satisfying campaign.

You must be lucky to say that almost every game is fun, as I've played many, many games that are not fun. Games can definitely be outdated presentation-wise, but good gameplay can last forever. That's why Final Fantasy VI is better than XIII. Graphics are just icing on the cake. This may not look as good as good as a PS3 or 360 title, but it's just as fun, and that's what counts.

@TheGravitationist After that FF6 > FF13 you have my undying respect. Butyeah Goldeneye's technology is really top notch. I think everyone should check out the Wiimote + nunchuk capabilities in this game before they judge it too harshly, cuz honestly its really freaking well done. Not only that, but they actually used the gyro function in the nunchuk, which companies rarely do. And for 20 bucks, I want my nunchuk pushed to its technological limits.

@TheGravitationist I have sat down and played it through. I own it. And I STILL think its a CoD4 knockoff. And Quantum of Solace did CoD4 knockoff better. Lets not lie, but its a good game for the Wii. I prefer playing the original on emulator myself.

Being completely fair, GoldenEye: Source is worth checking out if you wanted this game to be the N64 game updated. I see people defending how changing everything is the way to go, well if you want to play a game that's not GoldenEye, I agree. Otherwise, check out this free mod.

some developers know how bad the game will end up on poor hardware that they dont even bother making it e.g. grand theft auto IV.
