Sure... So you say that a PC450-8 can move 3 times the dirt in an hour compared to a 345D? Komatsus are good excavators, and have excellent smoothness, but no such 3 to 1 production advantage exists. In reality, a 345D can move a bit more than a PC450-8 in the same time due to its higher horsepower. The Komatsu's no slouch either though, it's pretty close to a 345C.

I was not refering to productivity, the 345 is a good machine, but I can make a case for the PC450 Komatsu moving more yards per gallon burned. The 3 to 1 ratio I was talking about was the world wide manufacturing of hydraulic excavators - all sizes and makes and how Komatsu out produces Cat 3 to 1 buy building and selling more excavators

I run a 345B everyday at work..i love that machine! Im good at operating it but damn do i suck in a dozer tryin to cut grade..i get lots of whop dee whoops..lol My boss hate to put me in a dozer..he's like holy fuck! I don't have much experience in the dozers though..people think holding a grade in a dozer is easy and IT'S NOT!
