No matter what kind of filter you add on Final Cut (whether it be Express or Pro), you're going to have to render to see what it looks like. You can put it in Unlimited RT mode, which is as close to watching it in real time as you can get, but you still have to render it to see it completely. Frames usually start dropping out while trying to watch it unrendered in Unlimited RT.

Yeah I actually did. You superimpose on clip to another, than you switch the canvas to image+wireframe, then you just resize them. It sounds confusing, but once u start messing around w/ final cut, you'll understand.

my mac has a built in camera and i record things from imovie with it , if i recored something with the built in camera and it goes into imovie would i be able to, export it to fce 4, to edit it? or record something with the built in camera and import or something like that it to fce 4 to edit it?

yah just look for it in your hard drive drag it onto your back ground thingy thingy and import it into fce 4

but something even easier

use photo booth if your gonna use your built in camera

it's much easier that way

plus u get some effects alrdy on it

you just plug in your camera via USB, the drive will appear, open up Final Cut Express, go to the Log and Transfer menu and your clips will be in there!

it should work if you can import it into imovie. I import my camera into imovie, but if your using a video tape or dv tape, you will need a video card to import the footage, then you can import it into final cut express.

Final cut express is very easy to use can't compare it to Sony vegas because I've never tried it also apple has free tutorials on express and they can help you with any problems easy great fun sums it up 5/5 definatly get it

yes, what has happened is you may have imported alot of clips, to much for imovie to handle, therefore it has had to shut down

I have had this problem in the begining. I uninstalled iMovie and reinstalled it again. Then is started working. I don't know if it will work for you, but you can try.
