Wow, I actually like. Please REM, please make an album that doesn't suck! I miss the excitement I used to feel when I listened to new REM albums. :) And I agree, I hear Automatic and Fables in it, as well.

I highly doubt it will be released any later than October. This event is definitely part of a pre-release p.r. campaign, and they ain't gonna let the tide of excitement over these tracks slip away by waiting another 6 mos. to release! I predict October.

Until the day is done, I hope this one can get to be single also, it's a very complete song

This is pretty...remember though, that how a song is played live doesn't necessarily represent how it will sound on the record itself. I'm hopeful, but still waiting...

Very nice. It sounds like the most finished of the new songs, but I imagine it might still receive tweaking. I could see it being brought to a more pronounced crescendo towards the end, wherever it would be lyrically appropriate, either by raising the vocal pitch to a higher octave or through a musical swell or both.  But even the slower new songs like this one have an urgency that's recently been lacking. I like what I'm hearing so far.

i find it way more around the sun than anything, which is not bad. sounds like "high speed train", "around the sun", a little slower than "final straw" but very similar. ATS is a beautiful record.

As much as I love the new "rockers", I think this one may be my favorite of them all. A nice mix of Out of Time, Automatic and Around the Sun... with some mid-Reveal thrown in.
