  • wonderful song!

  • A great beat band and still together and still touring.

  • I love the Ramones, but these guys have way more heart, the orginal is the best

  • LOVE THIS!!!

    HATS OFF TO THE SEARCHERS!!!

  • Needles was a big smash, i'd just left school in '63 and it brings back memories, they had a couple more big hits before fading away but the Beatles were kings and went on forever.

  • Fuken sick ass song

  • @raszazulito Ha ha ha Thinks you at a tiny minority Lol!!!

  • @raszazulito your opinion...and a lame one at that.....go listen to katie perry

  • @abbycici ok

  • Je suis venue grâce a la musique "Use the man " de Megadeth ^^ . J'aime cette musique , je ne pensais pas pouvoir trouver des musiques avec un aussi bon son dans ces années la.

  • Aren't they the band that was emulated on The Flintstones?

  • I heard that the late Sonny Bono wrote this song.

  • @briankelly909 Jackie de Shannon wrote it..Give it a listen great version.

  • @Tony70504 Sonny Bono and Jack Nitzsche wrote the song for Jackie De Shannon.

  • @akcoins Thanx for that, I know shes a prominent songwriter.."Walk in the Room and many others..

  • Love It!!!

  • Noodles and Pizzzzah!

  • 5 Channels covering all era's of Rock from Elvis to Lady Gaga...........buahahahaa, lady gaga and rock....someone made a BIG mistake

  • ▼♪♪♪♪♪♪♪

  • I saw them in 1965 in New York

  • REMEMBER BRYLCREEM,VITALIS, AND WILDROOT?

  • @57DooWopDaddy Yep! "A little dab'l do ya!

  • @57DooWopDaddy Funny, because if you remember ,like me,you probably don't have enough hair to really comb anymore!!Just a joke for you baby boomers out there.

  • "Needles and pinzzzaaaahhh!"

  • was there a promo vid where they erform this on a roof or something

  • I love the D sus 2 and D sus 4 used in this song. . one of the best written songs. . it would stick in your head. I was 16 when these songs came out.

  • That's what was so great about the 60's music scene- any medeocre group like The Seekers could get their 15 minites of fame. Now a days, the only chance anyone has is on that Tv show I won't mention or here on You Tube!

  • Oh god I love this....

I also love the remark about not to mention Lady Gaga in this context!

She and the 60's bands have nothing in common. But we had a hell'uva time back then....

  • one of 3 good tunes sonny bono wrote. the beat goes on. i got you, babe.

  • fucking weird looking group but good song

  • @devilwolv666 Suits, ties, clean cut, and handsome to boot. Weird!

  • in argentina, this year 2010 me have a song very like this song. "solo un momento from Vicentico"

  • Live, Clean, Authentic, timeless...

  • Is this song about Heroin withdrawal???

  • 90 votes 4 good 0 for bad!!

    Srry 4 bad english :(

  • Thanks!

  • Who was the drummer in this vid?

  • @killjoytjp The drummer was the late, great Chris Curtis. The best drummer on Planet Earth. Come visit my channel and learn about Chris! :-)

  • @ChrisCurtisFan A fact was Ed cut Chris's mic...Ed was know for doing crap like that. If Ed had something against you watch out.

  • @Veekator I did some reading up on Ed Sullivan on wikipedia some time ago, and learned he could pull cr*p like that. Thanks for confirming what I have always suspected each time I see this particular video. Ed was a nasty old buzzard.

  • Lady, I'm gaga over this great old music ;-)

  • superb song

  • Difference between then and now, the lead player was regulated as second class, little did they know, the lead player was the the star. Good lads none the less.

  • @notlazy99 Who are you talking about? Mike Pender? In this video, he and Chris are being drown out by Tony Jackson. :-( Mike and Chris had the most beautiful harmony. Tony's voice had it's place, and Frank Allen is no substitute for him. I just wish they had stayed with this lineup. Tony was good on songs where he sang lead vocal alone. :-)

  • @ChrisCurtisFan They aren't the only ones to nail this song. Joey Ramone nailed the vocals also. Sonny Bono wrote a killer song No?

  • @notlazy99 Sonny surely did write a killer song!! :-) You have to forgive me for preferring the Searchers -- since they had Chris Curtis! Cheers! :-)

  • needles and pins aaaa

  • @Dazzily Do you know the Searchers thought they would have to re-record it when they heard the 'pinsaaa' -- but their Manager told them to leave it -- as people would notice and comment on it! And people did and still DO!!! It's the trademark of the song! And what an amazing song!

  • @ChrisCurtisFan Joey Ramone nailed the song to.

  • This and the Mindbenders.

  • What is missing is the jingle jangle of guitar .. damn this is a bit bland.

  • Please don't mention Lady Gaga in the same five-mile radius of outstanding tunes like this.

  • @BettinaBalser Five miles from rich never. I use this word not at all bad only in the mouth. Long live the music of the 60s!

  • @BettinaBalser really? check out some of her acoustic stuff! she can sing! shes not necessarily any better or worse than these guys, shes simply different.

  • Fantastic song. Love The Seachers. :D

  • You posted this on my birthday! :DDD That's so cool. :)

  • Fantastic memory for me. The Searchers had great vocals and wonderful twangy and jingly guitar sound (early Byrds when you compare it). Thanks for the posting Valhalla.

  • This is such a Great song,,,it was written by Sonny Bono !!!!!!

  • I love how Tony played the Bass. always had the rhythm flowing...

One of my all time favorites....

I was lucky to grow up then and my son often tells me that too..

  • Got my first little tape recorder when I was 8 ...this was the first record to be taped on that little 5" reel to reel.....went on to record The Grateful Dead hot Tuna Jerry Garcia and have vault filled with the SF music ...live. I'll install it in your mansion for you!

  • needles and pinza? i love it. thank you!

  • I like it very much. Thanks for the share. Matt

  • I'm visiting ♥Chris♥ again, and bringing along my best girlfriends to visit all The Searchers!!! The guys all look so nice dressed up in their suits!!

  • @ChrisCurtisFan LOVE this Searchers song...my personal fav!! You bad girl, I'm tellin that you love another man!!! :)

  • @chezfun ROTFL -- Cheyzie girl, Hubby is o.k. with my RIP'd boyfriend! Especially since Chris and my Hubby look so much alike! :p :-D

  • @ChrisCurtisFan Your hubby isn't too worried about his competition!!

  • SLIPKNOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you, Ed Sullivan, for turning off Chris Curtis mic! Ed was known for pulling stunts like that. What a mean old man he was! Look up Ed on Wikipedia and you will be shocked.

  • Huh...I don't think Chris's mic is on. TURN IT UP!

  • @Percivaldurham -- You're right -- I put my earbuds on and not a note coming thru although Chris is trying his best!! And John has no mic at all, yet seems to be singing. ? Not much sound coming from Tony but he's trying to sing, as well. Well, that explains why somebody once posted that they all look confused during this vid..... Just when I thought this was a lip sync. Well, at least the video is nice! :-/

  • This is my favorite video of The Searchers! It's nice and clean, audio is excellent! Chris drumming makes this song so stirring. Love his smile at :43! Thanks for the beautiful video!
