  • i absolutely hate how i had to watch an ad before this song.

  • Snog- greatest communist singer ever...not a hypocrite who works for a wealthy corporation like Rage against the machine

  • @Dumpstermuffin1 BUt hes a communist?? Ya not a hypocrite at all...

  • @Vaspius Capitalism SUCKS and destroyed my grandpas business as he died barely making it. My grandfather owned a small business until he got trampled on because the big bad corporate bastards could afford to do the job better and do things he could not thanks to the digital age. I despise capitalism (esp Walmart) Our country was built on the labors of small American Business man but now thanks to the BS trade agreement we are losing our jobs.

  • @Vaspius interesting take on it, I think you're almost spot on. The thing is, you can have a voice, you just have to understand the true nature of power, and how to obtain it in various platforms.

  • GREAT STILL

  • @Vaspius The background voice is tooked from a movie called Network (Released in1976). What is funny to me is that issue of living in a corporate nation is not new and the lyric is so relevant today that it doesn't seem a message comming from 35 year ago.

  • i want the world and i want it now!!!!

  • @EarnanOMaille didnt jews get filed with IBM computers before they got gassed?

  • @Realjhad You are spot on, google "Dehomag"

  • @Realjhad You are spot on, google "Dehomag".

  • Marilyn Manson owes his entire career to this band.

  • snog and that magic purple ohm piece of paper in the 90;s

  • @valvocom i had a DEF-FX tshirt that was just a print of a whole sheet of those purple ohms. It was the skankiest tshirt ever by the time i eventually got rid of it. Good times though.

  • We need more comments from kids (Ages 0 to infinity) in the US! This comment list isnt full of enough stupid shit yet!!!

  • @Vaspius you know Marxism is just social capitalism so whats the difference..

  • @TheMiamifuentes

That's utter nonsense, sadly. There is in deed a huge difference between Leninism/Stalinism and Marxism. Marx has nothing to do with state capitalism. Have you ever read Marx or are you fully satisfied with being not embarrassed to be a Christian? If I were you I'd find it highly embarrassing to post stuff without the slightest knowledge. I can't force you to read Marx but I can recommend you to read the Wikipedia article on State Capitalism. That'd be the least you could do.

  • @blaach

Communism of any kind sucks and I can say that becasue I grew up in communist occupied Poland in the 70's. Nothing anyone can ever say will change my mind because of our experience.

    Fuck the state!

  • @ShiftIV

Reading my comment again may help. You (allegedly) grew up in "communist occupied Poland in the 70s". Correct me if I'm wrong, you are 36 now, does that mean that you read Marx in the kindergarten in "communist occupied Poland in the 70s". I merely said that Stalinist State Capitalism had barely anything to do with Marx's theory and his analysis of Capitalism. You are slightly off-topic.

  • @Vaspius Got news for you though, bud. Although SNOG is an excellent band they are part of the corporate machine themselves. They work for a record label, their CD's take up landfill space. Their books are made from paper which fuels de-forestation. The plastic they are made from spills toxins into our evironment etc, etc. It's good to have a view point, it's just best to have your own and not be hypocritical about it.

  • @Vaspius I could turn that statement around, and how many people out there are lazy drug shooting, rapist commies? If Snog is so unhappy with urban life, why doesn't he just go and live on a desert island or in the jungle? He'll be much happier there. If you don't want to be part of the modern world, you have the choice not to live in it. But nice catchy tune all the same.

  • Greate tune

  • Don't listen to this corperations are GOOD

  • @Vaspius exactly mate...cheers from greece.

  • Thanks for uploading. Thumbs up and favorite!

  • Actually, the song has a few Timothy Leary samples in it, too...the same ones are in "Fist Fuck" by Nine Inch Nails.

  • i love SNOG.. David Thrussell is my type of thinker..

  • I hear this song all the time at a gothic nightclub I go to. I never listened to the lyrics though, how practical and true especially since I am currently drawing a picture depicting my supermarket work distaste

  • I love this song :D

  • I will obey

  • Aaron Russo explains it all...

  • das is so richtig geil....

  • @Grobotnik und aus Australia! Ich lieben SNOG?

  • Great song!!! I am letting go of my Corporate STRAWMAN IDENTITY WOOHOOO!! Freewoman on the land. lol :)

  • I love this song...said the corporate slave

  • @frannbro danced to this and loved this song 15 years ago- I am old. SNOG were ahead of thier time, and sadly missed. Aussie industrial - I loved them for it

  • Cool! A similar idea wxpressed in a very peculiar way is "War" by Laibach.

  • the USA is technically a corporation.. why is it that the leader is called the 'president'? A president presides over a corporation.

I have been a fan of Snog for most of my lifetime.. its epic and conveys a message that YES, you must question everything around you. You will realise how much we are used to someone elses idea of a "free world".

  • Well said.

  • @LOLDISNEYLAND

Why is everything we buy made in China?

  • Slave Labor is cheap there, but it's also cheap in India, most of Africa, Mexico, etc, so it probably goes deeper.

  • @LOLDISNEYLAND Late response but your comment is silly. We called our countries leader president before we established corporate structure and decided the companies leader should be called president. Good song tho

  • @LOLDISNEYLAND CEO of America, Inc.

  • k.........

  • I seen this band live at Club 77 William Street in about 1997 on a school nite!!!! (give or take a year or so) AWESUM!!!!!

  • This song sounds better as a 45rpm being played on a 33rpm record player. Its much slower, with a more menancing sound. I love it....this fast club version, not so much.

  • You can do that with some dj cd setups- depends on the make and model- slowed down a song that sounded normal (but was too fast for the best feel of the song) one of the times I djed.

  • i like pie

  • Mmmm... Pie...

  • There is no pie

  • The pie is just a figment of your imagination... The truth is - there is no pie.

  • im going with the pie

  • @xelacrypt punch and pie?

  • I fucking love this guy. Satans name: Packer.

  • I like this song. ^^

Sounds a bit like early industrial yeah. :P

Lyrics are quite anti-capitalistic, and that isn't realy my thing, but I do admit there is some kind of truth in it...

    5 stars!

  • sounds a little bit like "personal jesus" ... depeche M.

  • I just noticed that.

  • this was a global classic for many years in industrial nightclubs - I must have been requesed to play it at every club (or I did anyway as it filled the dancefloor) for about 8 years and most clubs I went to elsewhere played this and several other Snog songs.

  • the goth club i go to plays it.

    lol

  • this is actually a pretty cool song.

i too just got introduced to snog recently. oddly enough, it was david thrussells brother, whom i work with, that showed me some snog. pretty cool...

  • If any of you are into the Snog side project Black Lung, I have 2 of their songs up on my channel.

  • Hard to not like a song that has robocop samples in it =)

  • please tell me more :) i was unaware of that blasphemous feature

  • Hmm welp the cool robot sounds. Alot of those same noises are recycled for movies but Ed209 used them in RC. On the same CD as this song Snog also samples from a cool show "The Prisoner" an allegorical UK 1960s science fiction television series.

Another good sample band, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult pretriphop days. But they had strong satanic overtones so not everyone can get past that, I just liked the noises and singing =)

  • hmm I think some of those sweeping robot sounds may have been sampled from tracks by Clock DVA, along with a snare or two... i'll have to do more comparitive investigating to find out for sure

  • Oh, I always wondered what those samples were from!

  • Network, a movie about the scandals behind the scenes of corporate TV networks.

  • @STANKYweaselTEETS the samples are from Network, not Robocop

  • @STANKYweaselTEETS I never caught any robocop samples in this song...some of them are from the movie "Network," and also from Timothy Leary's "Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out."

  • Classic! Best song ever...quite a bit of foresight, would you not agree?

  • commie... but apathetic... i love snog- but is this really the beat of the revolution, or just a pathetic and fatalistic admittance of defeat?

  • Less of an admittance, more of an observation.

  • To me thats a strong point Ambrosios makes. I always pictured the person who wrote and sings this as a drug user who is caught in the gears of capitalism and addiction. One prison by choice the other by force.

  • :ameritard:

  • I was just introduced to Snog. I'm digging it!

  • Klasse Song!!!

  • Ah man, this takes me back...Used to listen to Snog all the time on my walkman as a kid. Thanks for posting this video!

  • yea! snog rules! classic track i love it! thanx

  • classic track....thanks

  • Vocals could be better. Needs growling. GRRRRRRR Good song though.

  • ahhh classic early 90's track. liked this one a lot

  • Cheers for uploading this! It reminds me of seeing Snog live uptairs at the Prince of Wales in St Kilda Melbourne in the early 90's They also played a remix of a TAC drink-driving video before they came on, I would LOVE to find that if anyone can help :-)

And anything from Foil too - another Melbourne band from that time - cheers!

  • thank you for posting this video! this is awesome!! This is the first song I had ever heard and loved it when I heard the beginning... thanks!

  • I absolutely effing love this song

  • DAmn David speaks the truth! Thrussel ROCKS!

  • An other great one, but it doesn't beat human germ 4 me.
