I was playing a song on guitar in front of a friend of mine, and he told me it sounded identical to this. I checked it out, and sure enough, the songs couldn't be any more similar. Guess I'll have to ditch my song!

@TheAjdam - i actually know the person who wrote this, it was not adele it was a guy named lee copus who went to the brit school with adele. LEE COPUS wrote this melody. Adele would even admit that if she was ever asked. im sure she would. No one knows about this and its wrong, but hes only got himself to blame, because Adele asked him to tour with him but he declined the offer, and now the guys doing fuck all with his life working in homebase. Sorry, I dont really read music so sheets don't do much for me.

Must admit I had to look up Comptine de un Autre, but it sounds like the rhythm pattern is the same but the chords only match the first two bars.

Check the related videos section on this page, there is one called, 'how to play hometown glory'. That's where I learnt it from, so I guess you can too. Although I found the fingering rather hard to play so I inverted the chords so you only play one note with the thumb.

I Didn't have any sheet music. I got the basic chord structure from the 'How to play Hometown Glory by Adele' video, which you'll see over there ------->

And the rest is just improvised around the chords.
