I was unsure of this at first but it turned out to be really entertaining. The stuntmen were nuts back then and Dennis Hopper was too. Watch it and see!! Tarantino is a huge fan of these Ozploitation flicks

I loved this. I borrowed it out as a bit of a gamble and it turned out to be so awesome. My love for Australia was re-instated after watching it. What happened to the Australian movie industry?

@TheHannahBurger The Australiam movie industry was mostly run by The SAFC(South Australian Film Corporation). Well anyway, they started making shit films that noone wanted to see, such as December Boys, Bad Boy Bubby, Deck Dogz, etc.

@fluxpedia haha I loved Bad Boy Bubby. Seriously though, Nicholas Hope is a brilliant actor and really underrated. I remember hearing a theory somewhere though, that Australian Cinema became less popular when all the movies started trying to portray some kind of deep message. Before that it was just tits, scare tactics and cars, and it was awesome!

@TheHannahBurger as they said the government tried to prevent these movies from being shown overseas, and tried to remove them from aus' "official" cinematic history. the costs involved in movie making were constantly rising and the australian industry was gaining an increasingly bad name as the government started to financially support only culturally and socially sensitive movies that were "uniquely australian"

The Aussies are the best at films!! The USA poaches al our actors. Horror is going to make a resurgence here.. I'm making my first feature length horror film.. hopefully out my Halloween this year!

Stone was a memorable movie, but really can't remember the others, why didn't the include Rolf De Heer? He was making movies back then, didn't he?..
