  • thank you. Now I know!

  • can you tell me how you would answer a question like this?

    | X^2 - 1| is greater than or equal to |x| + |x+1|

    Thanks

  • Thank you! You explain it really well.

  • Your left handed.

  • glad i found this video, helpful

  • lol why 2.5 ???

  • for the last problem what do you mean by anything from positive infinit to negative infinity will work? -4 doesn't work and isn't negative 4 included in your solution . since ur saying negative infinity ur saying -4 will work but it doesn't -4^2+4=-12

  • @rosaliecullen21 It's (-4)^2 and not -(4)^2

  • The video lesson is great for students who learn the solving process for the first time. However, they don't need to repeat all solving steps each time. They only need to use a simple rule when solving by the number line and test point method.

First, plot 2 real roots on the number line. They divide it into 1 segment and 2 rays. Always use O as test point. Substitute x = 0 into the inequality. If it is true, then the origin is located on the true segment (or true ray). Use intervals for answers

  • one day i wish i could solve math like him omg

  • You are my herooooOOOOO!!! (play the Hero song in the backround)

  • @petkol ahahah, is my picture on your wall? you should tape a big one on the front of your math book.

  • Not only are you a genius, but you're comments are hilarious. Like actually.

  • @MrAddddyyy i try : )

  • So basically, every time the quadratic inequality is >, the solution set is a union?

  • Once you're really comfortable with visualizing the graphs of quadratic and cubic functions, it's much simpler just to factor/complete the square to find the roots, then visualize the graph. Doing this also help familiarize you with the end behavior of some of these simple functions.

  • What if instead of 0 it was y ??

  • thank you for explaining for me what my actual text book didn't :)

  • bargaining collectivley is not a basic right...fed workers dont... this guy is way better than my math professor

  • Thanks so much, I've never seen this stuff before but I now I need it for some calculus problems!

  • You say 10 in a funny way xD...no im sorry, thats very immature. Very helpful video :)

  • Huh ... what if everything on the number line is possible? Like, I have 3 numbers that I tested out, and everything inbetween and to the left and right of the numbers are possible. Do I seperate them with OR statements or inbetween statements? Because apparently that's how much teacher wants them, and I'm a bit afraid =X

  • good help get a better mic though :/

  • @Iwatchsexyvideos old video

  • @Iwatchsexyvideos glad my video is sexy

  • I LOVE YOU!!! I've got an A level exam soon and I never got this in maths class. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH! Life Saver!

  • Yeah thanks man, this has been a great help!

  • How do you solve this: x(x-1)(x+2)>0 ?

  • @822437 put -2, 1 , 0 on a number line, test stuff in between.

  • Hey there's just one thing that's confusing me. At school the teacher said if the coefficient of x^2=negative, then the number line=-ve,+ve,-ve. It's kind of annoying but the way you've done it seems much easier.

  • @MetallicSisters well, different people have different methods. just find that works for you and go with it!

  • @patrickJMT Tables are confusing, why not do it purely algebraically?

  • Wow! I was having such a hard time trying to understand this material until I watched your videos! Thanks!

  • YOU ARE MY NEW TEACHER!!!!

  • pat,

    you just SAVED MY LIFE

If you EVER need a kidney, i'll gladly give you one of mine

    xD

  • @zx6rtt wow, now that is gratitude if i ever saw it : ) glad it helped!

  • you are better than my math tutor which I pay him 400 bucks a month... fuck..

  • dude your hand writing is awesome

  • thank u

  • how about something like 4< x^2 <9?

  • This is an excellent explanation! Thanks

  • what would the answer to the first problem be in set builder notation?

  • can you do a completing square one? please.

  • Can you teach me how to solve quadratic inequalities by using absolute values? Thanks a lot!

  • Your the best! I wish you were my instructor!

  • This stuffs really helpful :) Very convenient that you're left handed too.... Much easier to see what you're writing as you're writing it. Keep 'em coming! :)

  • Dude, you're great! Keep up this great tutoring, helps alot!

  • thanks man that was great

  • HEy! YOur awesome man!! Thanks!!

  • hey bro i need a little help lets say that i have x^2(square)+7x<30

some homework that i dont get thanks

  • thanks a lot..you are a life saver!!

can you do pre-calculus and advanced funstions lessons!!

    thanks again!

  • an older video!
