Skiing: thanks for the notification for Ontario having 9. I had no clue. I thought Toronto had one service, made up of 2 copters.
Directional thrust: so the fuselage/cage hangs like a basket of fruit. Very neat.
@BeeRich33 this is one of 9 for all of ontario (plus some fixed wing aircraft) and i know how you feel with the wake ups, every flight that goes into McMaster flys about 300ft over my roof on approach.
and the main rotor tilts around for directional thrust, and the individual blades angle for lift

Bandage 1, one of two helicopters that services Ontario, from what I understand. Wakes me up as I'm in the Eastern flight path, in Leslieville.
Doesn't the main vertical shaft tilt forward and back for propulsion, to alleviate the ... whatsitcalled?
