You all do understand that Vergil is dead in DMC1 it's just his twisted souls that Mundus conjured up to throw Dante off his game. Vergil died in DMC3 by Mundus if you saw his ending. Nero is just a descendent and he wasn't born with the arm. He was injured in a battle and it changed for some reason. Dante would have been able to do the same with Yamato since it relies on a blood relation. Nero described this when he first discovered his D.T.

@DoC2EPIC Vergil didn't die in DmC3. He was too weak so Mundus beat him and converted him into one of his followers. That's why Nelo Angelo( Vergil) still had the memento of their mother around his neck. Nero, on the other hand, is just an experiment.

Dante doesn't really recognize him, he was able to resurrect Yamato and it was drawn to him because of his direct blood relation to its previous wielder, AND he is directly stated to be a descendant of Sparda . Dante looks like 20 years older in this than he does in DMC1. There was certainly time for Vergil to screw someone a little before DMC1 and have Nero grow up in that timespan

@XKing2 The timeline is 3,1,4,2. Vergil is alive in 3 but turned into Nelo Angelo by 1. I think he might be Nelo and Vergil reborn. He can have Nelo's strength and Vergil's devil trigger. Let's face it, Nero has to be related to Vergil somehow. I just wish the devs would tell the story instead of starting over. I don't give a fuck about Dante when he was 14-18 cause in DmC3 he's roughly 19-23.

@Sephy100 The new game isnt a young dante, it isn't even this dante. Capcom made a fatal error I think in doing this. But I'm with you on Neros relation, I believe hes virgils son. Here is my evidence. His devil trigger looks a lot like Virgils, when he needed a weapon and was weakened Yamato healed itself and responded to him. His arm, since Dante and Virgil are half demon, that would mean Nero is a third so maybe he can't control his devil trigger well enough yet.
