I spin my 04.5 5.9L Cummins tires on occasion and let me tell you, the turbo needs to spool fast enough. Not to mention, what if this is a manual? He could just be on the clutch. Either way, it needs to be tuned to blow that much smoke, which he clearly states everything done to it, so that out rules the smoke switch possibility.
