@aerialkate I definately agree, my experience is that loads of English people don't get comedies like Alan Partridge, and those that do get it seem to feel the need to praise themselves for doing, like it's some great acheivement, AND then feel it necessary to critise US comedies for being dumbed down when in fact when you look at it there are loads of great US shows like Curb, Arrested Development, The Simpsons (the 90's stuff) and Family Guy, which are different but just as great and clever.
