  • 0:08 the crap ya in ma face FI sucks?

  • At my former home there were 3 blue jays andone with a very big mouth who would come to the window (all three of them came at once) and caw at my cat.I could call out "Blue Jay Blue Jay" on a sunny afternoon and they would come. A few times I let my cat out in the backyard. The cawing blue jay came over and stood within a foot of my cat and told him off for 10 minutes straight that this was their yard and he should just stay in the house. This last summer the blue jays did not come.I miss them.

  • Sir, do you have any raccoons in your backyard, too? |:-)

  • Is this Paris Hilton's bird?

  • Mordecai lol

  • This is the first spring I've seen them around in my area. The West Nile virus just decimated them - we'd drive down the road and they're be laying dead in the gutters, dead on roofs, lawns... It was awful :(

So glad they seem to be recovering well!

  • Blue Jays Are nice but they are also evil at the same time as they eat other birds eggs. I believe also they will kill their own eggs or children if they have been touched by another species of some sort.

  • ooooohh mordecai

  • I get a whole family of BJ's in my back yard. I start throwing peanuts (in shells) on the patio and one by one they hear the sound of the peanut hitting the bricks. Before you know it they're diving out of nearby trees pouncing on the peanuts, I have about 5 BJ's that come around regularly. If I miss say, 3 or 4 days not throwing any nuts, they will congregate on the railing of my balcony and hang out waiting for me to throw nuts.

  • MORDECAI! .... where's Rigby?

  • Mordecai!! xD

  • That is just cool I want to come up to me, and love its call "Pep!!".

  • it's MORDECAI!

  • He's got the beak of a raven!

  • PEH! hahah I love it

  • I would get nervous around blue jays they are aggresive

  • oh...does he not know theyre really aggressive birds? now dont get me wrong, blujays are my favorite birds but still...he might want to back away a bit or his camera might be damaged...they also like shiny things. im collecting a stash of acorns, or at least hard nuts and aluminum foil to attract some blujays, and since they prefer to nest in pine trees, theres a few in my backyard! XD

  • Aww its soo cute :D

  • I think he wants sunflower seeds or songbird food. Cool vid dude, jays are playful creatures.

  • He/she is so cute! i love the colors.

  • jaybirds back bitches

  • so cute! =3

  • It's so beautiful!

  • Aww, that Blue Jay is so cute... I feed these Blue Jays peanut butter sandwiches and regular birdseed every morning. ' ' ) Never seen a video of a Blue Jay this close-up before, other than with my binoculars when I watch them. They look and act even cuter close-up.

  • how did u get so close to the blue jay or did u zoom in

  • @deliasramirez12 - Hi - We had many encounters with this bird when we lived at this house. Before we acutally moved in, this bird approached my father...if you view the videos on Zedwin channel you will see him peck my dad's camera and peck at my dad's boots. Needless to say this bird was around very frequently when we lived there. He was amazing!

  • 0:09 :-D

  • that bird use to be human

  • Blue Jays are beautiful birds but that's all that's beautiful about them. They have a harsh call (actually they make several annoying calls) and are very aggressive toward other songbirds. Robins particularly hate blue jays because the jays attack and eat robin eggs. I personally don't like them but they are a beautiful bird to look at.

  • that's a beautiful shot of the blue jay... awesome.

  • He is so cute, I love blue jays too, they are SO awesome XD Noisy but I love them and would, like, die to protect them O_O

  • why does it let you get so close?

  • ..that bird has an amazing plumage

  • I love Blue Jays! They are beautiful birds. Just throw some peanuts out and they will come swooping in. I have several outside everyday but have never been this lucky to get one up close like you did. Great video.

  • blue lays are usually wild and fast but they are soo cool!

  • Is this one a juvenile? Hence why you were able to get so close?

  • That is a Blue Jay Mark9309. And, blue jays aren't mean at all. If you were defending your family, or your home, would you be called "mean?" I don't understand why people are always saying they are "mean" birds. They are simply territorial, but they wouldn't harm you as long as you don't bother them.

  • Wow he is so adorable! Blue jays are usually so mean.

  • Oh. so this is blue jay. then the one i saw a week ago was not then. i saw a small beautiful blue bird. about the size of a sparrow. it came out under the car, it was chasing by a group of sparrows. probably those sparrows were trying to steal its feather. i wish i could take a snapshot but they flew away too fast. it has sky blue body and a long white tail. the tail is beautiful. it;s like a mini blue peacock. it was much more beautiful than blue jay.

  • What you saw was a "bluebird."

  • scrub jay

  • my bad, blue jay... sorry

  • Wow. You got quite close to that one. Mine are usually quite shy. I filmed my video by just leaving the cam on a tripod and walking away.

  • ooohhh! i apsolutly LOVE blue jays!!!

haha! hes just like ''yeah man, this guy over here's just starren at me... its kinda frekin me out..'' ha

  • Very cool video! I get quite a few blue jays here in the backyard. They come pretty close, but not that close. Britt9099 and DtheProf are right, they can be mean. Watch some of the vids where they attack cats!

  • Love the BlueJay!

  • wow how did u get so close there mean birds that must have been tricky

  • how did you get that close to it

  • Those birds are MEAN!!!!

  • Survival of the Fittest. Balls to the wall. Takes one to know one. Look both ways before crossing the street. To each his own.. and last but not least.. well that's just a fine song and dance. Keep your shirt on. Ah horserabbish.

  • Nice!

  • Great work with your video! I love Blue Jays.
