  • yOU BIMBOS ARE SO CRITICAL LOOK AT YOUR SKIN AND HAIR ONCE IN A WHILE OOO EEEEWWW!!!!!

  • It looks that before the finish Rachel bore out into Musket Man's path coming close to MTB. It almost seems like Calvin planned that, cause you can see him look over his shoulder before that happens, seeing MTB catching up, granted he couldn't have caught her, but it makes me wonder cause he's too good of a jockey to not know how to keep a horse straight...

  • i dont like that calvin borel. its just something about him i dont like

  • I fell in love with Rachel Alexandra after that race!!! I was so stuck in a pickle. I wanted MTB to win to continue the triple crown but I had to rep the "girl horse" going up against the "boy horses"! LOL!! In the end, that was one of the more exciting races I've seen! Just like the dude......WOW! :)

  • Calvin Borell is such a traitor! How can you leave the horse that you won the Kentucky Derby with and ride against it! He sucks. Mine That Bird all the way!

  • Hey Ur, Giacomo was a DIFFERENT Horse. Not all of them obviously are going to react to things the same.

  • What's the big deal with Afleet Alex? He doesn't have the fastest time. Big Brown had 1:54.80 in 2008, in 2007 Curlin had 1:53.46. there's only 0.04 seconds between AA and RA. She didn't have to race against him, so it's irrelevant.

  • almost pole to pole front runner...damn WHAT A HEART! Rachel Alexandra a brilliant little girl.

  • Mine That Bird is a sweetie but he has a very long way to go before he should be considered one of the best geldings of all time. You must be too young to remember Forego, John Henry or Kelso!

  • Kevin, your hilarious. Keep doing what your doing brother.........Son we live in a world that has internets, and those internets have to be saturated with Walken impersonations. Whose gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Pollak? Well, you do it best so welcome to the internets.

  • if he wins the Belmont....MTB best horse to only win 2 of 3

  • nah best horse to do that is Afleet alex

  • Afleet Alex was definitely better. If he'd seen Giacamo and Closing Argument coming in the Derby he'd probably have won the Triple Crown, but oh well.

  • ur right i really think that afleet alex would have won the triple crown 2...i really wonder why some people seem to forget how great he was

  • No, Afleet Alex had no excuses just got beat straight up and had a good trip....MTB came from last both times and would have caught her if he had gotten through earlier

And he will catch her in the Belmont if they both run

  • it depends how mine that bird runs the belmont, if he can do it convincingly, then he could be better than Afleet Alex but I highly doubt a romp in the belmont

  • yea he for sure has to win.....its just weird to see a Great horse like this come from so far back like he does....usually the great ones stalk

  • Do you know anything about horse racing nvrloser. You can't compare a horse that has won 1 race of importance to a horse that won multiple Grade 1 races and races that are significant. A.A won the Sanford, Hopeful, Arkansas Derby, Preakness, and Belmont. Um MTB won the Derby on a sloppy track. If you are naive enough to try to compare the two you might want to read my new book. Horse racing for Dummies

  • Im not saying MTB is afleet alex and MTB is a gelding hell be racing for years to come hell get 11 more g1 races, im not the argueing type but MTB is really spectacualr and im not saying that he is like afleet alex im saying that MTB is proably the best gelding iv ever seen race and did i mention he is the smallest race horse in the filed..i bet he might be better than afleet alex and by the way Ra would beat Afleet Alex to. MTB won Swynford silver deputy and grey stakes thats still good.

  • BB you seem to be the most confused of the posters u just compared some races that no one has ever heard of to the Grade 1 wins by A.A. I think your statement about how R.A. would have beat A.A. is something that even the owner and trainer of R.A. would question. R.A. ran the race in 1.05.08, with the perfect trip, A.A. ran the race in 1.05.04, after being tripped at the head of the stretch, coming to a stop gathered himself and still running the race faster than R.A. U sir ARE An idiot. lol

  • I wanst trying to fight, but im not going to keep the fight going, RA didnt handle the track and man you dont even no horse racing MTB won the Swynford the Silverdeputy stakes and the grey stakes i think you are confused. AA is a fantastic horse and like calvin said RA didnt handle the track the track was faster when AA won so RA had a bit of a slower pace to run in A.A had a good but short career, AA had a brilliant race in the preakness and the Belmont but RA is going to go on to win more race

  • listen asshole I dont know where you got the idea that I said mine that bird is better than Afleet, in fact I remember commenting that I thought afleet was the best horse to win two of three. Afleet Alex is amazing and I never said otherwise. Get your shit straight before you start accusing people of being naive.

  • U were the one that stated that he "COULD" be considered better than A.A. that shows your lack of knowledge of horse racing, and its sad because I am sure you insult people so that you can cover over your glaring inadequacies. First off its naive and rank amateur to compare an unproven three year old like MTB to A.A. a "Multiple" grade 1 winner. MTB won a race on slop that fell apart on some of the horses. A.A. made his run every time. and his turn of foot was impressive, MTB is not close.

  • seriously I cant believe you are arguing over this, I said could in the event the Mine that bird romped in the belmont. Afleet alex has his number by a mile but give mine that bird a few more races to see if he can compete. Btw, I think Afleet only won 2 grade 1's if im not mistaken

  • I dont consider it an argument when someone is so incredibly misguided, horse racing for dummies is a series that might interest you. As for A.A. winning the Grade 1 Hopeful Stakes, the Preakness and the Belmont would add up to 3 Grade 1 wins, a child no a toddler could have done the research enough to realize that. But at least you're trying i give u an "F" for effort.

  • ahh my fault, forgot about the hopeful, I was just thinking about the Arkansas being grade 2.

  • Urgatorbait - You would actually need to watch the race before you make comments that are totally WRONG. Afleet Alex had 2 issues that day. 1. His jockey, who himself says that he gave A.A. a bad ride in the K.D and B.C. Juvi, otherwise he wouldnt have lost those races, and maybe if you watched the race you will see that A.A. was pinned down on the rail coming out of the far turn, and had to be geared down to wait for a hole. See these are things that amateurs dont and cant see. horseracing101

  • you fool....it didnt seem to bother Giacomo who came from 18th

    no excuses fag

  • Umm have you ever heard of Spectacular Bid

  • He lost the Belmont in 79 yes i know of him

  • MTB is no Afleet Alex, Afleet Alex won a number of Grade 1 races, a couple of Grade 2's and showed quality all through his career, MTB may not win another Grade 1 race again. Huge difference, Afleet Alex was versatile and could run any race, MTB only has 1 run in him and he looked bad in the Belmont, ran his heart out but he's no Afleet Alex.

  • i hate to argue but u r a fat messed up fuck Dubby MTB is probably the best stretch runner iv ever seen in all of horse racing and definatly my life time. He will win another grade one race and MTB was always a good horse ever since he broke his maiden even when he finished 12th in the BC J he just wasnt being trained very well because Trainer Chip W. had him for about a week and got there 2 days before and hes has many disadvatages hes a closer( traffic probs) and hes 15.1 hands ect.

  • Well there is no reason to argue, see there is a huge difference between people who understand the fundamentals of horse racing and are students of the game, in comparison with rank amateurs who at best can only talk about a horse that they've newly become acquainted with. See I make a point and then I back my point up with (FACTS). You on the other hand make an outrageous statement, and preface it with a personal insult about me. That has nothing to do with horse racing. People like u r sad.

  • first off all mind that bird is A LOT of horse. if he wouldve got the inside rail no one would have stand a chance believe me.

  • Mike SMith rode a nice ride. He started to move him up around the last four furlongs. Just got caught in traffic and had to go wide.

  • Mine That Bird should have been positioned with the lead group of eight horses along the final turn rather than positioned in last place. Poor timing and judgement by the jockey, giving the speedy Rachel Alexander too much of an advantage. With fast competitors, it only makes sense for the jockey of MTB to stay close to the lead horses and not let them get too far ahead. Very disappointed that such simple logic was not realized by the jockey.

  • Mine that Bird does not run well on or near the lead. He needs to lay back and make one run from behind. It's the running style with which he is effective.

  • You may be right, but I hope MTB runs with the lead horses in the Belmont, because I don't think anyone wants to see MTB run from the last place position once again (for three races in a row). People want to see some variety...mix it up a little with MTB.

  • excuse me, but siroptimistic, your being a dumbass. anyone who knows horses knows that each horse has their own way of racing. It doesnt matter where he runs from, the main idea is that he finishes first. Any smart trainer wont change their horses racing style, the horse is doing the work, keep him happy. Your not racing a car and can topend it as many times as you want.

  • yeah, smith whipped him a lot, but how much can a little jockey really hurt a big ol' race horse? .. probably not very much.

i just wished MTB had caught her. i love that little horse. might have been the bigest fairytale triple crown winner of all time!

    good for calvin borel though.

  • that was a horrible ride by mike smith

  • Yeah that's because Borel said when he whipped Rachel she slowed down, she didn't like it -

  • damn...mike smith whipped the shit out of MTB lol.

Rachel only need a little nudge to go.

  • thats it, RACHEL ALEXANDRA wont win past 10 furlongs. good win in the preakness but keep her to 8-10 firlongs

  • It's because of the track. Were you there? NO. Was I? YES. Was I right next to the track? YES. It started raining shortly before the Preakness. It didn't rain very long, but it was enough to change the track just enough for her to have a little problem.

  • Susie369- Happy to see you made it out of the course alive, Everyone knows Pimlico is a dive & in the worst neighborhood around.

Word around the traps is this race course wont be used past 2011 as it is in receivership & they can't find a buyer.

I'll will be seeking you out Susie369 when MTB beats R.A past the post in the Belmont, Have a good day all.

  • I was there as well. and although RA ran an historic race, respect must be given to MTB as well. i believe he will be the favorite in the Belmont. As to your comment Susie,, is there a reason for your choice of words? I mean big deal you were there. So was i and a few thousand more.
