I think sometimes what makes a song good is that there may have been a true meaning by the composer but the song can still be interpreted and enjoyed from a couple of different perspectives.
Well said, and I don't think that any composer should have to commit to what informed his/her song..somehow I think it makes a song less interesting the moment you can say "THIS! is what it is about" preferring the idea of a more layered, ingenious structure :)
I'm not sure of the meaning but in the last year I have gone through an atheistic phase only to come out the other side with a new appreciation for God however indifferent he may seem to us. That's what this song makes me think of.

It's pretty incredible how different your original material is to your influences (Assuming influences extend to the bands you've covered) - But it still retains the same power and sincerity of them. Great work!

I think sometimes what makes a song good is that there may have been a true meaning by the composer but the song can still be interpreted and enjoyed from a couple of different perspectives.

Well said, and I don't think that any composer should have to commit to what informed his/her song..somehow I think it makes a song less interesting the moment you can say "THIS! is what it is about" preferring the idea of a more layered, ingenious structure :)

I'm not sure of the meaning but in the last year I have gone through an atheistic phase only to come out the other side with a new appreciation for God however indifferent he may seem to us. That's what this song makes me think of.
