First band that started to do this on the Sunset Strip, and bands started copying the gimmic, it became big, and to get any MTV play time in the 80s you had to dress like this. Back then, if you were a kid, and you were listening to Motley Crue, Cinderella, or Whitesnake, your mother would snatch up that cassette, break it and call it satans music. And pretty much every hair band sang about good times, instead of bitching about how terrible life is

This whole album is a monster. One thing about Motley, they never really sounded exactly the same on any two albums. Too Fast is more punk than anything, Shout is heavier, Theater is pop-metal, Girls is biker-ish, and Dr Feelgood is a classic 70s style blues rock album on HGH and updated...my faves for Too Fast and Dr Feelgood, for totally different reasons...
