Well she doesn't exist yet :(. But when I do get married, I'd hope for a Jill Scott lookalike. Would be a nice bonus if she could sing like her too. That would be hoping for too much though wouldn't it? Gotta except what the Lord sends my way.

she has so much to offer- and i've seen some interviews...she seems like SUCH a REAL person.
when someone rejects your love it hurts so much- so i appreciate how raw she came with it in this video. its like "what does the other woman offer you that i couldn't?! my love is deeper!"

i must say, the observation that if Jill lost weight she would be more commercial is a sad refection on our society. it shouldn't be mentioned regardless of the good intentions. Just my opinion. It's about the music and the voice.

Jill don't need to lose weight to reach a Beyonce status. Jill has been on a higher level and class, steps beyond that teenage bopping Beyonce does. Beyonce's just discovering what Jill has known for years. Jill is for the grown and sexy and her music will be around for years to come.

only a fatty or a former fatty with a negative self image would be so hard on another heavy woman. Jill is voluptuous and sultry and can sing some of the best "singers" of today into early retirement! In FACT, none of the current generation of singers aint got shyt on Jill with the exception of the old schoolers who are still doing it (Mariah, MJB etc.) and some of the younger acts who REALLY sing. Jill has kept it realer than any singer in the industry today, and she is true to herself.

U know what? That is what went wrong with music; aesthetics over REAL talent. Let's say she had drastic weight loss surgery. Would it REALLY change things? Jill Scott is in a different genre; a lot like Common, Erykah Badu, etc. These artists generally have lagging sales behind their contemporaries. But she is talented and can sing live which is a rarity. In ten years Riahnna will be forgotten and so will the rest.
