"Ringing the changes" was a swindle that counterfeiters used in Victorian England. They would pay a shopkeeper with a real coin. The shopkeeper would check the coin and find it was real. The counterfeiter would ask for it back, saying he would pay with silver. He'd check his pockets and say he didn't have the silver with him. Then he'd switch the real coin for a counterfeit coin, and hand that one back. The shopkeeper, thinking it was the same coin, didn't bother to check it a second time.
It amazes me how He can flat pick and fingerpick at the same time so perfectly.
