@DedworthMean sometimes it isn't there i suggest using the rapid transport to an area near the embassies and walk there.

@duncan7599 The only purposes I know of is that you can experience for each one of them and it's a side-quest so if you are trying to go after completing most of the game with certain people it's good for that. Other than that, I don't think you find out anything about the Keepers.

the Keepers are programmed to 'wait for a signal', at which point they'll take some sort of actions, and that it is about time for that signal to arrive. Chorban states that this has happened repeatedly in the past, and analogizes it to looking at the rings on a tree. Unfortunately, he has been unable to find anyone willing to take those findings seriously.

That final one in the Docking Bay, does that only appear when you're at the Citadel after Virmire? I'm there for my second visit at the moment (still got Noveria and Virmire to do) and it's sure as hell not there.

@Lemmingology They sometimes do not appear. Try reloading the area by going to another star system and coming back and it should be there.

Um, I have one Keeper left, and I think it's the one in the Embassies with the 2 Elcor and 1 Volus. I have played the game to the point where you have to goto Ilos, but as I went to see the Keeper that I mentioned, it wasn't there. It has disappeared. So my question is: will it appear ever again later on? Thanks a bunch guys and good video!

You get there by going to down the stairs across from the preaching Hanar, and take the elevator. Or take the the elevator near the east entrance of the red lit alleyway where you meet Tali.

There is some thing very bad at this quest because at 1. time I couldn't scan the keeper which is next to AVINE but at 2 second there is no keeper at 4:00

@BerkerIzmir001 it's a glitch same thing happened to me today... I was able to scan it even though it was showing up... and as far as scanning the keeper next to AVINA, typically you can scan it while the mission is active but not before or afterwards, because then she tells you not to fuck with it (instead of it saying scan the keeper it says examine).

@BerkerIzmir001 Sometimes the keeper in the elcor/volus ambassador office will disappear under the floor. The way to resolve this bug is to save and reload.

If you have already checked all the areas that you can travel to but are still missing one then it's probably the one in the Wards access...when you go there you can start the signal sources as well

I have 20/21 scanned and I know which one I'm missing, it's the one near where Tali was rescued - I don't know why I can't scan it, I went for Tali first and after rescuing I couldn't scan it, however in a previous save where I hadn't yet rescued her I could.

Is there any way to solve this problem? I wouldn't like to backtrack around 2 hours worth of work :/

Also, I heard it can get thrown out of the map with grenades, though I did not use them and it's there..

@shaneisinthehouse it's where you'll find Tali `zorah nar rayya for the first time, you can easily reach the alley from Chora's den. directions: take the citadel rapid transit to Chora's den, once the game is finished and load, turn backward, there is a staircase that takes you to the alley.

I read online that the keepers may have been the first species to find the citidel and were altered genetically to serve the reapers.

Scan them all. Chorban can give you some good info on them.

Actually they were possibly the first race indoctriated & enslaved by the reapers. The vanguard reaper (this time sovereign) emits a signal when citadel aliens get advanced enough. The keepers were meant to begin the genocide & prepare for reaper invasion but the protheans changed the signal making keepers harmless. The whole point of their maintaining the citadel was so races would gravitate to the place for reaper supervision

Im playing mass effect 1 again right now and they mention that the prothians were not the first and that they used another species tech. I was also thinking that that advanced species that came before the protheans could have been altered in to the keepers by the reapers.

Yeah. Believe it or not, I just walked out of the room and back in, and the little fucker was back in its place! Its some kind of stupid glitch that gets fixed like that, or by just saving and re-loading the game.

just a remark to those who try to scan the keeper next to avina: i had the same problem. you can't scan him and you don't need to to finish this task. may be this is a bug or a glitch. in any case this keeper is not necessary to finish this mission. if you can't seem to finish the mission then you overlooked another keeper.

sometimes they glitch out, just approach them at a different time and try different angels, including crouching. This was a very big irritant for me but I heard this works so try it out.

This and dragon age are two amazing rpg's, any bioware game you can't go wrong with. They've never made a bad game.
