I saw Ultravox in Stockholm Apr 28 2010 and was quite worried how Midge would sound. I was totally stunned when his voice was as strong as ever and better in this clip. He really sounded fantastic live! He definitely still has THE Voice!! Love Midge forever!!!!

I did see his live performance last summer in Czech republic, and was very happy to wait all day till one oclock in the night... I would do that any time again.. .
Chris Martin is popular because he is talented in 2008. Let's forget about the aging debate and recognize the fact that Midge/Ultravox could take on any Coldplay single today and at least agree to a draw!!!Come on Midge...keep touring we love you. Cheers!!!
Well Midge you have not lost any talent. The voice and talent will not be forgotten. It is great to see this man and ultravox play their own instruments and not fabricated from TV. Midge and Ultravox rules forever.
believe me, this man hasn't lost it. he still has the looks and the voice. age has got nothing to do with it. there are plenty young artists that are famous because of their looks and not because of there singing quality. MIDGE URE RULES
I just discovered Midge after watching some Live Aid video clips. I saw Live Aid on tv back in '85 but didn't catch the Ultravox performance. Now I'm a fan for life.
After all these years, Midge still can deliver an incredible performance. Love the guitar sound here! I don't blame him for straining to sing at times. I saw Rush earlier this year and Geddy was able to nail the high notes but it must have been difficult to do.
I Think He's Great, Still A Brilliant Singer And Fantastic Guitarist, I Have Seen Him Live Twice, Once With His Band And Once As An Accoustic Set, Just Him On His Own With Guitar And He Was Fantastic. I Also Met Him After The Show And He's A Really Nice Genuine Guy.
you obviously haven't heard him live.... I have numerous times and I can assure you he most definately DOES still have it! In this clip when he shouts "guitar" he sounds croaky, that's not losing your ability to sing, that's having a bloody sore throat! We all get ill for goddness sake! I would just like to say that I agree with you, if you were judging by listening to this clip, you would think it's gone.... promise you it's a one off! ;-)
I agree. Midge has been touring non stop and of coarse it takes its toll on your voice. Our singer went through the same thing when we where on tour last year. Often caused by the stage levels and the singer have to push his voice over the top of the music to hear himself.I have seen midge Uvox live many times and their was not one gig i didnt enjoy. At least midge sings live. You would be surprised how many bands play to backing tracks and dont even sing live.
True in some ways. He still has the talent to play and perform live...But the voice does struggle a bit live.
Also he only uses a bit of delay/Chorus on the vocal live with more natural effect... so at least you wont hear him sounding like cher (Alias Atares Autotune)
PS: you dont get many midge ures to the pound that can create so many great songs.
@hypnoticwarning i `de go and watch him with any chance i get when it comes a long.. ime sure the crowd enjoyed it and his voice doesnt sound that bad in fact its sounds good
what a crap...so bad compared to the original:(. But companies can't get enough money and locked it to german users. For what do they punish us?
