it's not grunge, which is a good thing, cause grunge was dated. grunge was a trend. grunge had thick, muddy, grimy, distorted fuzzy guitars. the vocals were often growling and sorta lazy but still angry sounding and some of the time hard to hear.

grunge would be something like mudhoney or alice in chains. some people even consider pearl jam and nirvana to be grunge

One of my favorite songs, not just one of my fave Alanis ones :) If you want to hear similar music check out the album Leah Andreone Veiled. It came out during the same time and it's really good. I played the hell out of both in my youth. Jagged Little Pill was literally one out of the first two cds I got when I was 13 for my birthday when I got my first cd player.
