Just noticed some posts concerning the "Poirot" music - I am the composer of the main theme and of most of the episodes. If you visit the Orchard Music web site you can find the music For the series, Stan Sulzmann played the saxophone. It was good fun writing variation upon variation of it, and it's a shame the producers decided that I should not use the theme any more from "Death on the Nile" onwards.

If you mean the picture of Poirot in a police uniform, it's from "The Chocolate Box".

Quite a bit of the story takes place when Poirot was still an Inspector with the Belgian police force.
