  • barry horowtiz was awesome his match was skip at summerslam was very entertaining its a shame he never got a push he could've had a good match with anyone i think esp after his mathc with chris candido anther great worker in the business its a shame

  • I don't consider "jobber" to be a bad thing. It's a term of endearment. At least to me.

  • He can go either way, but he only goes one way, and that's doing the job. He needs to get over himself

  • Atleast he didn't hit rock bottom like some of the guys.

  • BH gave us a great show

  • Classic little man syndrome. Guy was a piece of shit.

  • ther needs to be a BARRY Horowitz school of pro wrestling!

at least A award ! all true fans of wrestling know this man! pat on the back forever!

  • he was SO over with the fans back then. he is remembered still and half the people he put over are not even remembered.

  • cool it's winless jack hart, ill never forget the florida champion used to get a camaro to drive to the events, we used to go see cwf live in ocala florida one time kendall windam was florida champ he was driving the camaro then the next time winless jack finally won a match and beat him for the florida title then he was driving the camaro florida wrestling was the greatest ever

  • He has some big ass ears!

  • @tallrat thats why he had one of the most masterful mullets of the 80's

  • @tallrat mot guys who wore mullets back int eh 80's had big ears.

  • My Brother And I Were, Are Barry Horawitz Marks And We Were Like 6 & 8 Years Old

  • always enjoyed barry horowitz

  • The last part of the interview was pure ownage, "If I had their money I'd be a billionaire!"

When I was a kid I remember what the deal was is he never had a good finishing move. He almost beat some of the best, but you can't beat the best without a good finisher 99% of the time. Maybe it was different during other periods, but when I watched back in 96-97' that seemed to be a theme with him. Never had the right move to wrap a victory up. Poor Barry Horriblewitz

  • didn't he write a book about beeing an "enhancer"?

  • Lose if you can...win if you must...but always cheat!

  • the best worker in the bizz

  • Barry's ears = PIGLET

  • look at his phriggin ears!!!

  • Best jobber ever Barry always getting his as kick only defeating other jobbers

  • Mad respect for Barry. I also watched him a lot as a kid and I could say he was one of, if not best, enhancers in the business. It's good to see he's managed his money well and not have to embarrass himself like Flair did.

  • Barry must have some talent, look how many years he went in and got his ass kicked night after night and he never quit. I remember when he appeared in 3 PPV's because of his hard work.

  • Barry Horowitz rocks. Grew up watching him as a kid.

  • Reason for this barry is ur a jew tgats why u managed ur money well, jew.

  • Hey, I can't disagree with a word Barry said.

  • barry horrowitz is right!

  • great to see barry is still going strong

  • He was a great performer.

  • I can respect that. The man did his job and made a living. That's all you can ask.

  • pay per vent...bitter

  • Barry was a great wrestler....That's why he was one of Shawn Michaels' Knights at Survivor Series 1993 against the Hart Family, because he knew how to put people over and knew how to do a great match....I'm glad WWE decided to push him a little bit in 1995 ( he did Survivor Series that year and the Rumble 1996 ), he deserved it. Glad he had a job in WCw after that, in 1997-1998....Great guy.

  • Barry's wisdom is paying off. He did make the others look good. But like he said, many big names have turned out far worse/stoned and washed out. Horrowitz gets the last laugh and his more than fair ways pays off from the people who matter.

Besides that's WWF/E. I'm sure you don't see Barry do quite so bad in his local wrestling circuits.

  • Barry is on point..... I got my house.... I do not know what these guys did with the money they earned.

  • Barry is an example of a great Jewish athelete!

  • People like him and Reno Riggins are awesome and, will never get there credit and (WWE Hall of Fame isn't much credit either.) Reno is a pretty fricken' wealthy guy and well-known here in Nashville and has an awesome wrestling promotion called S.A.W Wrestling. Then you have Ric Flair, Jake Roberts and, plenty more who should be wealthier than those 2 and aren't for a fact. Someone needs to do a Jobber Shoot Interview Series. If Santino wrestled more he could be the 2010 form of these guys.

  • His argument about a jobber and a worker makes sense and I see it the same way. To me, Horowitz and the Brooklyn Brawler weren't jobbers but some other slugs that were trotted out definitely were. Good to know that he's financially secure. He always seemed like a good guy and I feel bad that his 1995 push was abruptly ended because he was getting over with the crowd.

  • I'll never forget when he came down at a royal rumble.......and the Million Dollar Man called him Barry Horriblewitz.........had me cracking up. That was the silliest and funniest Royal Rumble EVER!!!!..........The Swat Team, they were garbage

  • He could go BOTH ways! 30 minute broadway haha! love it

  • Barry was one of the most if not the most underrated wrestlers to have ever worked for the WWE/F- definately better than about 97 percent of the current roster- in my opinion, he's a hall of famer!

  • Barry HORRIBLEwitz

  • pay per vent?

  • Salvatore Since Was A Complete Jobber.. He only won House Shows But He put over everybody on T.V.

  • Jobber or not, dude has some big ass ears lol

  • Brooklyn Brawler was also another jobber I liked - but I don't remember him winning any matches...well maybe one or two but I'm digging way back in the 'ol filing cabinet. Anyway, last I checked he's currently working for the WWE in either talent relations or media or something. So at least he's still working for them.

  • I remember his win over Sonny in the WWF. I was stunned to see a jobber win a match but after that I was starting to root for him. He was the underdog but he had heart. Too bad he didn't last too long in the WWF.

  • @Incognito1986 You mean Skip?

  • Now this video should prove to us all Three things, ONE Barry obviously doesn't like to be called a jobber and it pisses him off, TWO, He actually considers himself in HBK's league, and last but not least THREE, The first 2 points added together make a number FOUR, Barry OBVIOUSLY took way to many shots to the head to even DREAM about going "broadway" with Michaels. Just listen to him, Ever wonder why you didn't get anywhere Barry, Just listen how you sound, you can't even cut a shoot

  • @chadels09 If you actually listen to what he's saying, you would understand that without people like Horowitz you wouldn't have your favorite superstars like Shawn Michaels....the point he is trying to make is someone has to be there to make them look good on paper....someone has to elevate and sell the future stars of the business....but to do so, you have to be a good worker. Mick Foley helped to elevate Randy Orton's career the same way

  • I LOVED Horowitz. He was great as a winner in GWF, as a loser in WWF and his first win over Skip is one of my favorite moments in wrestling.

  • he's right, I mean I'll always remember Barry Horowitz.

  • One of the two greats that influenced a nations children

Barry Horowitz + Bad News Brown

  • Barry should be in the WWE Hall of Fame.

  • Future Hall Of Famer right there.....

what? Koko B Ware can be in the HOF and Horowitz can't?! lololololo

  • they shouldve given him a "quasi-cutesy" hardcore title reign if he was around during that straps existence...maybe a 1-&/or2(-&/or-so)european title reign (or something)...4 an "enhancement guy"...he was/is among THE best of 'em!!!...

  • He knows how to save his money, you gotta give him that. He's no Randy "The Ram" Robinson.

  • gotta give Barry credit for the hours of entertainment he gave us .

  • "Barry Horowitz Shoot Interview"...four words I never thought I'd see.

  • He was a Heavyweight Champion in Global Championship Wrestling in between his enhancement talent stints in the WCW and WWF. He actually played off his losing ways by calling himself "The Winner." It was a fun gimmick. He used a Reverse DDT known as the "Winning Move."

  • I am with you on that statment

  • He should be one of the most respected Sports Entertainers out there, NOT guys who refuse to lose a match left and right who make millions a year jacked up on steroids because they use the prescription loop-hole.

  • i get what hes saying, he put work into working out but was just unfortunate to not come out on the winning side of the stick, at least he got paid though

  • I remember watching Barry when I was a kid jobbing to other wrestlers, but now that I'm grown up, this guy truly deserved better. And he's right, jobbers are the one that don't do anything, but I regularly saw him on TV making other wrestlers look good. And let's face it, there has to be people willing to do that. Another good point, many wrestlers have made millions and now have nothing. Barry has a secured lifestyle. You're the man, Barry. At least u have more talent than John Cena.

  • "jobber" or not barry was a great worker

  • @santamariashark this is awesome .. this is one of my friends dad

  • also bring back the jobbers...

  • I don't know what they did with their money...

All I know is I got 2 cauliflower ears that I had to pay for.....

  • Hahah, I love how he actually bothers to use correct English - put over people. As a kid, I didn't like Barry Horowitz much, but to me that just proves how good he was at what he did. Much respect.

  • I think he should have a 30mins match with Shawn Micheals at the next PPV. I would genuinely rather watch that.

  • me too.. only because we all deep down would hope that Barry horowitz was gonna win haha.. but HBK would have to take the victory.. otherwise............

  • but would be awesome as HBK retirement match

  • Ive watched wrestling for 25 years.Horowitz is highly underrated.Had more talent than most of the bigger names did.but never got the chance to shine.

  • It is interesting that both he and Lanny Poffo said the exact same things. They both own their homes and have more than millionaires. Being 'enchancement" talent seems to be the way to go.

  • Jobber, no. Enhancement talent, yes.

  • one word sums you up......

    MARK!!!!!!! XD

  • I have alot of respect Barry Horowitz , he was a great wrestler.

  • the gratest jobber baryy should be in the wwe hall of fame

  • Hell yes! *pats self on back*

  • Barry was the first jobber ever to get scheduled on a PPV back in his days in WCW. That was epic

  • if you knew the business, you would know that some jobbers were better workers than the"star" they were putting over. towards the end of his career Brad Armstrong was a killer jobber. Barry Horowitz was a very good worker and made quite a bit of money making a lot of people look better than they deserved.

  • He is the best of the best at what he did. How many of you know the names of any other jobbers?? Barry was good at what he did and deserves all the credit in the world. He had a specific role to play, and he did it well .

  • nobody would have given a damn about Shawn michaels without guys like him, and Brooklyn brawler...lets not forget him

  • honestly id love to be a wwe jobber , to get to say ive been in the ring with some of the greatest wrestlers ever , hell yea !!

  • I don't see any 30 minute matches with Shawn Mciahels in Barry's future

  • WHERE'S THE MULLET?!

  • Never noticed how big his ears are since he got that hair cut. hahaha

  • Barry Horowitz also had a victory against Hakushi right before they ruined Hakushi by turning him face.

Hakushi was really good before that, I was a fan of his.

  • At least he admits he is "enhancement talent", unlike Damian Demento, LOL

  • nobody has figured it out yet.....no "real" barry horowitz fans

  • Yeah he beat Skip on a couple of occasions. They gave him a Jew gimmick and had him come out to Hava Nagila. He lost to Alex the Pug Porteau during the Pug's debut match as a regular member of the roster.

  • And it's not Tommy Angel that was in wcw. I mean a "name" wrestler that he beat.....

  • You mean Skip?

  • Barry did beat one wwf wrestler in a "jobber" vs "jobber" match... only a true wrestling fan would know the answer....Anybody know it?

  • Tommy Angel?

  • lol oh barry. Always patting himself on the back in in his wwf matches. Nothing has changed. good for him.

  • The ironic thing is, if Barry ever DID get a real push, he would not be as memorable to us old schoolers.

I don't understand why he's upset that he's a jobber -- that's what he is. Its not like that makes him a chump, it's just a show. Do you see extras pissed off that their characters are killed off in action movies?

Yeah, Barry, you were a jobber. You were the quintessential jobber. But you were entertaining. That's what's important.

  • hes not upset at being a jobber he's upset with the term jobber, i remember his mini push that he got but could never remember what happent to him

  • I remember that half hour broadway he had with Shawn Michaels at MSG. What a classic battle

  • the first time i saw RVD was in one of the underdog challenges wrestling as robbie v

  • Yeah I remember WCW circa 1992 or so having the "Underdog Challenge" matches on WCW Saturday Night. This was when they were from the heat-less horrible Center Stage, complete with pre-recorded looping background "fan sound effects" so there wouldn't be complete silence.

I actually liked those matches. I remember "The Gambler" winning against some other jobber with a vicious clothesline to the top of the head..hahaha

  • i prefer ham & egger as well. i used to love when bobby heenan would say it. it sounded like one word. "throws the hamanegger against the ropes!"

  • barry babysat me wen i was 6 we both lived in colonia n.j. his family and my family were good friends last time i saw him i was 10 he had vw bug i hada crush on him then his parents were good people he looks so hot lol thanks 4 posting this

  • He's in denile. He was a jobber, but he's probably not doing to bad for himself. He was perhaps the greatest jobber in the wwf because he did get one win over a known guy that was suppose to be in. Skip of the body donas, I believe.

  • He is the greatest "ham & egger" to ever lay down on a mat for 3 seconds.

Yes Barry you could go either way. We call that bisexual these days.

Why Barry didn't you go the other way? Why? Why?

  • Sounds like something a jobber would say.

  • PAT URSELF IN THE BACK

  • he was a good wrestler but a jobber at the end of the day.. even if he likes it or not.

  • wrong. A jobber is a preliminary wrestler who can't work, plus the name jobber sucks, I perfer the old Bobby Heenan term "Ham & Egger"

  • A jobber is a guy that loses all the time. Horowitz lost constantly. Thus, he was a jobber.

Work-rate has nothing to do with it. There have been plenty of very talented jobbers.

  • I know there has to a loser to each match just like there has to be a winner but I just can't see a guy losing each and every week.Seems like that would get humiliating not only in the public spotlight but also in a person's private life.

  • Barry Horriblewitz loves white castle

  • He was Barry Hart in the WWF early 80s, then Jack 'The Stretcher' Hart in Florida, then Barry Horowitz in the 90s. He DID do well!

  • He was Bret Hart in Mid-Atlantic and other areas early on. I thought he was pretty good as "the Stretcher" Jack Hart in Florida and Memphis.

  • oh right, the OTHER 'Bret Hart'

  • Yeah, and now that I think of it, I think he was "Brett Hart", as opposed to "Bret Hart".

  • he wuz never a champion in tha WWE there wuz a gauntlet w/him and funaki and Taka but it wasn't 4 tha title

  • enokaka, he was never the Brooklyn Brawler but anyways.

Wrestlers do the job when they put wrestlers over. In terms of that definition, every wrestler is a jobber cos even HHH puts wrestlers over, he did the job for the night.

I think "Mr Nobodys" is a better name instead of jobbers. Thats what I used to call them before all the smart shit killed kayfabe.

  • well i used to call them "no names" same as i used to call "babyface" a good guy and "heel" a bad guy.....

  • The Best jobber there was. The best Jobber there is. And the best Jobber there ever will be. Oh wait, he don't like that word. I think I will hide now.

  • what a jobber!

  • he's right

  • Barry is right. He played his role.I enjoyed watching his matches and cheering him on.I searched Barry out by name because i won,t forget him.

  • enokaka ur thinking about steve lambardi. barry and steve were tag team for a good while but after the attitude era i vividly remember triple H getting screwed in a guantlet match where he had to take on a shit load of jobbers and brawler/steve lambardi pinned him 1,2,3 and held the title then lost it 1 week later on smackdown. HHH pulverised him something awefull. Barry probably held the tag title but im not sure so dont quote me on that.

  • he is such a jobber its ridiculous.

i remmeber when he used to pat himself on the back constantly! That was hilarious...and for some reason, when I was a kid, I always thought he would get some kind of push!

  • He had a push for a little bit in the WWF after he defeated Skip of the Body Donnas for an upset victory.

  • Barry Horriblewitz lol

  • man i was just about to say that LOOOL

  • Again. This guy described himself as a mechanic when we all know he was a jobber. Barry never won anything but he sure could lose miserably.Barry was and still is a great jobber. Hes not a mechanic at all and never was.He never even made mid card so how could he make hbk look good if he never, ever appeared past the bottom? The guys he described were just losers were as he was and will always be known as a great jobber and not a mechanic like Mr kennedy, Holly, carlito, ect.

  • he won one match one

  • i hear he was big in wcw

  • steve lambardi was the #1 jobber then this guy. Barry is in denial it seems. A jobber is a guy who goes in there and put guys over VIA a clean job. He tried to make it seem like hes a mechanic whoes job is to make for a good match win or lose. Barry won once every 200 matches. If that aint a jobber then im dreaming

  • i think barry was #1 jobber...i mean steve atleast held a belt...lol..lol..

  • what title was that?

  • i think it was heavywieght...for like a week or something cant remember but i do know he held one when he was the brooklyn brawler...

  • jobber! you lay down maf!

  • I agree with many others, Barry was an amazing worker and could make anybody in the ring look good. Few workers can do this but Barry is an exception and it's a shame he does not get the respect he deserves. I believe he has his own business going these days, but would be interested in seeing him in action as well.

  • he should come back and beat MVP

  • That was articulate. He put a hell of a lot of people over (lol). I respect him though and its too bad there arent really any career jobbers anymore its one of the lousy things about the modern industry. These guys really built up the stars by letting them showcase their moves and abilities. Jobbing is an artform.

  • wow he has big ears!

  • greatest jobber of all time Barry Horowitz followed secondly by Jumpin' Joey Maggs of WCW.

  • i would like to see a list of all the jobbers. maybe they could make a comeback as a stable.

  • yeah they'll be know as "the poor horsemen"

  • Hey Barry,I Agree 100% ,.you're damn right

  • barry is right, compared to some wrestlers he is a lot better off

  • What other wrestlers would you say are well off financially that you wouldn't think? Of course, when you think about Wrestlers who are well off, you think Hogan and The Rock. Bret Hart mentioned that Owen never made Austin bucks, but that he was financially secure. He also made mention that Greg Valentine and Honky were well off too, and that it puzzled him that they would go the indy circuit despite not needing the extra money. Can anyone elaborate?

  • its in their blood.. Bret was fine even before his career.. his dad was infinently famous

  • The way Bret described growing up in his book, it often sounded like he lived on the brink of poverty.

  • Roddy Pipers a multi millionaire, so is Randy Savage, Warrior Ted DiBiase made millions but lost a lot of it through bad investments. Iron Sheik also blew his millions he is alleged to have made between $12-16 million over his career and has nothing to show for it now

  • well by Iron Shiek Stomach i think he ate all his money

  • I was an indy wrestler and I got the opportunity to work with Barry. He was awesome and he knows his shit. His longevity in the wrestling business was because he was such a good worker and he could make even the shittiest guys look good. The WWF needed guys like him to build their guys up they were going to push. I guess the only downfall now is that WWF doesn't do many of these matches now as most were not at the entertainment level required for TV today. Regardless, he is a great worker.

  • Horowitz was awesome.

  • Hey Barry, Jobber, Jobber, Jobber!

  • id be a billionaire if i had vinces money as well.i know it in my heart.

  • Shawn Maykel?

    LMAO

  • Jobber Hall of Famer !!!!

  • Makes great points

  • jizim pizowers is a jizober bizarry hizorowitz is too

  • JOBBER

  • "if i had thier money, id be a BILLIONAIR"

    too funny....HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Barry made some awsome points in this and everything he said was 100% true

  • Agreed. When I read the vid description, I was expecting self-serving b.s., but the guy is spot-on.

  • The king of jobbers!

  • One of the best ham and eggers ever. He should be in the WWE Hall of Fame.....for jobbers.

  • to me the top jobbers were SD Jones, Rene Goulet,Will Bill Snyder, and Iron Mike Sharpe at the end of his career. Barry Horowitz has won matches and had a t shirt made

  • i remember the waistcoat thing he used to wear with the hand printed on the back of it, not all jobbers had that type of thing, so maybe he was on the higher end of jobbers but a jobber ll the same... as for Brooklyn Brawler i'm sure he's still there in some capacity.. he's like dreamer was to ECW..

  • fav jobbers Rene Goulet, SD Jones, Iron Mike Sharpe, Wild Bill Snider, my new fave jobber is Grizzly Redwood he is
