Our lecturer used this and I think i was the only one who was thinking omg DEATH NOTE although everyone laughed at the mew reference. Good job on the video it made statistics somewhat interesting still prefer mechanics though.
@red56684 Hi. Thanks for that. My editor loves Death Note. We have remade this video and you can see it at CreativeHeuristics channel. We were a bit afraid we would get in trouble for using the Death Note images, so William did his own drawings. It is still good - in fact I think it is much better. Can you please tell your lecturer so that he/she can link to the new one? We also made an app that teaches statistics. Search on AtMyPace: Statistics
Thank you sooooo much. For an arts post-grad student just now dipping my toes into the world of empirical quantitative research, this video is a god-send. Very easy to understand, and a great place to start.
just wanted to say you represented this information exceptional. I am working in this area right now in a stats class. You really helped me understand why or how I would reject or fail to reject a hypothesis.
Hi - the editor loves Death Note too. Thanks for the comment. Mello/Helen is in most of our vids, though William started drawing his own in case we run into copyright problems.
Hey man, my lecturer downloaded your video and used it in our lecture for Psychology: Quantitative Methods. We had lots of fun. Thanks for making this video!
I really do hope that there's more videos like this!
I think it is good to provide a range of material, and this is here for those who find it difficult. I'm sure there are plenty of other more complex alternatives for you.
Is it really necessary to make the material any drier than it already is? Stop complaining. The more hillarious it is, the better the chances of people actually learning it while having fun, although some people are going to be distracted and laugh instead of learning. :)
Excellent! video I love the little touch with Einstein explaining hypothesis testing at the blackboard. Sometimes it seems like you would need to be Einstein... At least you break it down into English!

Is it really necessary to dumb the material down to the lowest common denominator?
