  • macaddict1980,

I really don't have to code to code to run my Linux system. I can if I want, but that is the beauty of Linux.

The big three Linux Distros - UBUNTU, openSuSE and Fedora - have significant resources behind them. "Buggy" is pretty well behind most Linux systems now.

I see that you are using a MAC, and not Microsoft. Let's stay on topic here.

  • diamoneyes24,

Somehow I tried to have a Zen Moment, but can't connect with your wisdom.

Would you like to further explain your meaning? Perhaps you have further insight into something other Linux users are not aware of in your thinking.

Thanks for your awareness, and keeping my post going.

  • The fact that an ordinary user doesn't care about the OS and just want to use the computer for a specific TASK seems foriegn to many linux zealots. They expect that users should be programmers that can fix source code, write their own drivers, otherwise they are freeloading. I don't have time to fix developer screw ups or to deal with half ass buggy software/apps that are the ONLY option for linux users. Say what you want about other OS's, I don't have to code to make them work.

  • do you want to know why those OS work better than windows becose linux is so much limited windows can do so much thing linux cant window is the best microsoft rock

  • THE FUTURE LIES IN OPEN SOURCE!

  • ha "dont try this at home" i like that touch. i put up a vista vs linux vid today if youre interested. ps was that you who linked my linux setup to some linux "check out my desktop" site?

  • doinok6232,

"Don't try this @ Home if you run M$". I've yet to see a native MAC capture of their Desktop. And, I do not mean some commercially done thing about how they can do a 3D Desktop.

    Cool! Linux Rules!

I can't be sure that I've not liked to your Site. What do you mean? I know that we have been going back and forth in separate mails.

  • may the frames make a problem? but your beryl doesn´t seem to run smooth ;)

  • itsmeafreak,

I'm actually now running compiz-fusion instead of Beryl.

It seems that I am running 3D within 3D (because of the video that I have in my Site). Then the audio makes my Notebook run too slow in record mode. No big deal.

I just keep trying to show the benefits of Linux - Linux Mint - and open source software.

Besides all this cool 3D stuff we do run fully functional Operating Systems. We are just now in "show-off" mode.

  • show off mode, ha ha, I like that.

  • ragabonds,

Hey, we are between Holidays here, and I'm catching up on things internet-wise.

Yes, we run Linux, and all those open source applications that let us run sites, forums, blogs, etc.

All cool, all free, then we post a few things to YouTube.

Yes, showing off is fun, and productive.
