Did you run it before you blocked off one side? Just curious as to how much difference it made. I want to try an HY35 but I'm not too excited about spool at 4000 rpms.

how many blades are on the compressor side of the turbo? Sorry for all of the questions but planning on using a hx40 pro with a 2.2l big bore sr20

Awesome stuff man, where did you find the vband/flange for the hx40, i am having trouble finding that.

im running a 3" v band I had to get one side welded to the 3.5" v band on the exhaust side of the turbo. Makes running 3" exhaust easier

Oh i see, I though of doing that. So did you cut off the 4" vband from the housing and weld the 3" vband flange on the housing? or how did you go about that exactly? if you dont mind me asking

well my exhaust housing on the turbo was only 3.5 " and the 3" vband flange fit on it barely but it works great

Do you know what size housing your hx40 came with? I think mine is a 18cm ( i see 18 stamped on a few locations) its a t3 housing, but the outlet is a huge 4" opening.

Mine is an H1e. It has a T4 housing. Im pretty sure its a 22cm twin scroll. (hopefully im right bc its made only for an external wastegate)
