  • Still good but not superb as the old jamiro u_u

  • I would argue this is the best Jamiroquai concert of the 2000's!

  • i'm so confused about this audience, nobody's moving... that's such a great track !

  • @msalami1 Maybe there just so mesmerized by the performance. Something this awesome could overwhelm the neural circuitry

  • @BigExtc Hahah !

  • Comment removed

  • NOBODY MAKE A FUCKING move!!

  • I was there... back in the nineties... long long ago :)

  • @troublehoff this was on 2003

  • @augustcinnamon

    OK OK Pedantic...

I meant the era, when the album was released..

  • @troublehoff lol sorry

  • THIS IS THE SHIT

  • Lol, some people need to wake up and realize that this is the best version of just another story ever recorded. :D

  • @2697jam The best live version, anyway.

  • @Venomous9 fuckin right mate

  • @2697jam oh yes... you dont find grooves like this anymore

  • jareds1007, totally and utterly agree, Zender's playing on the album original ( and live in the old days!) is completely unrepeatable: he sits so far back in the groove! This guy's a good session player, nothing more, Zender is a once-in-a-lifetime genius

  • I can't wait when it is april 12. Rotterdam Ahoy Jamiroquai live! I am coming!

  • I prefer the original flute solo. This is an awesome arrangement though... stop whining about lack of Zender, folks.

  • Much prefer the arrangement with the flute. Good as these guys are it loses some of it's soul.

  • Le solo de flûte de la version originale... c'est meilleur que celui de la guitare.

  • If you don't play bass you wouldn't understand....Stu was the reason most of these old songs had the groove they have. You can just tell it's not him. The fills are not the same. It's not the same. It's not that the bassist aint good, it's that it's not stu. you just wouldn't understand unless you absoulutely love the foundation a bassist provides songs like these.

  • Where is the "Love" button. This version of the song is amazing. I love the real musicians, real bass, real drums, real guitar, real keyboards, etc. No fake stuff here. Vocals are amazing as usual. We need this kind of music on the radio in the USA. I am so sick of the Lady Gaga techno crap. What ever happened to real instruments, real song writing, etc.

  • me: mom, i'm going to slap 6 people because they are not too smart!

    mother: alone?

me: no, 157 people will help me!

  • awesome

  • not gonna complain about lack of zender, but the bass tone needed too be fixed!!! too much auto wah in it's mix!!!!! no mid-range growl in there!!!!!!

  • Se esta jodiendo la voz.

  • good to see they still play there oldies

  • GOD BLESS JAMIROQUAI FOR USING A REAL (and talented) DRUMMER INSTEAD OF A GOD*AMN DRUM MACHINE AND NOT PLAYING TECHNO CR*P. Well, usually.

  • the SOLID Derrick Mc Kenzie !!

  • Du grand jamiroquai !!! Un bijou !!! J'adore! !!!

  • Anyway, best wishes for Jamiroquai in their new album... Can't wait for September 2010! =)

  • But man, just figure out why today they can't play any song of the first albums... For that cigarette and a thousand of them, JK lost his great voice and masterpieces like Emergency On Planet Earth and Space Cowboy are now difficult for him to sing. Without the songwriter (Toby) playing, it feels like this song is covered, but fans still don't understand that the biggest problem is JK's "new" voice... just the biggest change in Jamiroquai... Frustrating, but he actually has a 50-year-old voice..

  • i was there and it was the best of my 10 Jamiroquai concerts...

i really wanna know what Claude Nobs cooked them before their gig...they were tight as never before...

  • All the Stu fans just need to find something different to whine about. It's been years since he's been gone and the new bassist is fantastic. You think Jay Kay would hire some a crappy bassist for his band? Jamiroquai tracks have some of the best basslines out there, period. You have to be talented to play them and Jay Kay I am sure has high standards for musicians and back-up singers.

  • @meattoothpaste agree man great basslines but the keys are also great on this band especially the rhodes...

  • @meattoothpaste i agree everyone who has ever play bass for them is sick but stu's creative input was the essence of the sound for me - i still love them though!!!

  • @meattoothpaste totally agreed, ESPECIALLY bass players. Jay Kay wouldn't just let some bum lay down some of the fattest grooves known to man, especially from "return of the space cowboy", one of my fav albums.

  • i no that stu is where its at but this guy is hardly bad come on!!

  • @jimi2455 Nick Fyffe is amazing, i actually personally think he is just as good as zender. It's a little less in your face but that just lets you pick up on the subtle details from other part of the band (for example the superb guitar from rob harris). :)

  • @jamiroquai01fan More than amazing... Nick had the Jamiroquai feeling, prove it by his hat and his playing (with wah). The wah effect was also used by Zender. Note that he tried to keep a classic Jamiroquai style because he just loved it, remember that he was to play in a Jamiroquai tribute band before get in with the real Jamiroquai :D

  • vete a la mierda

  • Check out Just Another Story London 1994 version. That's where it's at... STU!!!!

  • @guitarjam6 Totally disagree, this is way better! This is easily the best version of this song ever! In fact, it could well be my favourite ever live performance by any band ever ???

  • Brilliant version of this song!

  • Impressionant...

  • 2.18 hell yes

  • YEEEAHAAA!!

So damn tight!! This is superior and above anything else. Long live Jamiroquai!

  • Bring back Stuart.....Bring back the old groove

    R.I.P Jamiroquai (1992-1997)

  • @albahackvideo ooo yes r.i.p jamiroquai

  • no horns..that's a shame...this track just rips at the end with horn section

  • That's what I call classic acid jazz vibe :D

  • This is so good.

  • Okay look. We all loved Jamiroquai with the original band members.(Toby,Stu,Derrick, and maybe even Gavin Dodds, Simon Katz, and DJ Dezire) But this is the NEW Jamiroquai. The band has changed a lot, but for the better. Take this song for example. What they did with the second part of Just Another Story was GREAT and, like somebody already said, "Especially with that guitar solo". I, for one, am satisfied with the Jamiroquai that used to be, and the Jamiroquai we have now. Peace

  • I love you

  • i agree 100% - the music may be different but it's still the best out there!

  • @sockpoppy you know, and that not alway's happend like this with bands that change... I loved them in the old day's in old setting, and still do today!

  • I think the drummer's pulling too hard forward. He's got to lay into those hard bass grooves.

  • Its always great to see Jamiroquai perform some of their old stuff. Also lol at 4:58

  • Wow, this is the best version of that i've heard.

I wish they'd played that the one and only time that they came to N Ireland

  • Sorry, but the best version of this song is the posted concert in Tokyo 1995. Look it up.

     It's PHENOMINAL!!!

  • the best bass line from the album without question.

  • This is my favorite in Montreux 2003 DVD.

  • i dont know why everyone rags on Nick Fyffe.

If the video showed Zender playing, but the audio was this, most of you wouldnt know any different, hes pretty darn good.

  • i totally agree

  • no doubt - fyffe is a good bassist. but zender had the right tone, attitude and playing style. especially on this song and mr.moon.

i can tell right away this isn't zender playing - it doesn't have the same groove and nick's tone sucks here. maybe some people can't tell or don't care, but i know plenty of people who do.

  • also, i'm sorry if my purist tendencies offend anyone who is in love with the new sound =)

  • Jay shouldn´t smoke so much xDD!!!!

  • yeah jamiro has had famous times with Sti..but this version rocks, you cant deny that..specially the guitar solo

  • best version of just another story ever !!

  • Ahah.. no.

  • everything sound perfect

  • bass processor envelope sound perfect

  • U mean the girls @ Tokyo or here?

Cause In Tokyo they're screaming 'Jay!' and I don't hear any screaming here

  • nooo dude those girls from jamiroquai staff with the chours i dont like the fact that she saay ''yeahhhh'' in the song my compre to tokyo is about the song just compare the song in that gig

  • maybe you dont like the girls but to call this performance 'poor' is uncalled for.

  • Montreux 03 was great... but comparing Montreux 95 to Montreux 2003.. Zender made it sound so much better

  • no matter what anybody says, jamiroquai is the best funk band ever with every member with or without zender. even though it was better with zender in it.

  • Zender was the shit..but jamiroquai still one of the hardest bands ever without him

  • jamiroquai is one of the best "groups" ever. period. so sick and every album has a little bit of a different sound.

  • hehe I know what you mean by "groups".

Stupid Jay Kay tries to take all the credit for the other musicians. Apparently that's one of the reasons why Zender left.

  • Excelente canción

  • I seriously don't get all of you Nick Fyffe haters... he's a really awesome player- He makes sweet lines with a touch the of old-school style and he's got some really nice runs too.

whether or not you think he's better than Zender there's no denying he does a good job here (especially with tone).

anybody who hates Nick simply because they think Zender is better is just a fucking moron...

  • I still like Stuarts lines better, they groove and nicks lines are IMHO bit robot like or de-humanized, but thats a matter of opinion.

  • Seriously? I don't think they're so bad. how do you mean de-humanized?

But I reckon in terms of Tone Nick really rips it here. IMHO Stuart's tone got really clunky on the low notes sometimes.

  • Completely agreed matey

  • i agree. nick isnt ever going to be on the same level as zender, but hes still world class and it shows here. give the dude his respect.

  • Es y sigue siendo el mejor grupo en el panorama funk.

Espectaculo en el rock in rio Madrid increible la energia

  • I don't understand why he change the bandmembers so easy!

  • Because before the contract with the record label was with Jay Key and not with the whole band, IIRC, and Jay Key payd the band members from his pocket.

  • Excellent! But I miss the flute solo. That's what I like most about this song.

  • excuse me jay? is that a cigarette in your hand!!? 1:59-2:02, baby, pleeeease!!! stop with the cancer sticks ok!!! please.

  • Excellent, good song!!

  • this is some kick ass jamiroquai !

  • man the intro with the synth reminds me of a metal/atmospheric band!!!!!!!

  • Hey don't forget Wallace.

  • What a mess. Zender is King! (and not just for a day!)

  • Zender is king indeed, it's Nicky Fyffe playing bass on this one though as Zender left the band in 98 and this is from 2003...Watch Mr.Moon in London 94 for some groovness!

  • Man I like this song in some ways better than the original. Never once has this band lost it's essence. Keep up the awesome job!!!

    p.s. JK keep smokin' :)

  • I'm agree with you!!

  • nick fyffe is good bass player.d,dsnt matter he is good same.and i am fan jamiroquai 9 year now.and i like ewery day jamiroquai music.but stuart exellent bass player i know.i want jamiroquai make new album some day..

  • people: it's called evolution

  • Jamiroquai was Kay, Zender, Smith. This isn't Jamiroquai. He shouldn't use the name Jamiroquai. This is a covers band.

  • Part of me agrees with you, the days of Jay with Smith and Zender were probably the greatest of them all.

I still do really like the new line-up though :)

  • the groove is gone, they shouldn't have played this song in 2003. an embarassment to the current lineup to go back and listen to the versions from the space cowboy tour.

  • i think alike, although the is outstanding an the band sounds great, the spirit of the song remains only in jk´s soul, we can tell that, but what is concerning to the guitar and bass player the cardiograph shows flats waves.

  • I disagree. Jay Kay has been, and continues to be, the primary creative force behind Jamiroquai. Jamiroquai's albums are continually popular because of Jay. As the line-up has changed, new members have added their own piece to the sound.

  • Great performance!!! Nick is great bass player!!! :)

  • Stuart Zender was the bass master. It all went a bit wrong when he left the band. Wouldn't you agree?

  • Sorry man,but You should respect musicians a little bit more. Zender is great, and Nick is great too. And most of all, go yourself onstage with jamiroquai and try to substitute Nick or Zender. If U can THAT, than you can say "nick is..." or "zender is..." .... I think that you understand what I mean! Cool down man, enjoy the music, not musicians....everyone is diferent and when U listen to musician, try to see his good sides, not only "bad ones"..... so, nick IS great bass player........

  • Not taking it away from Mr Fife just think Stuart Zender and Toby Smith was Jamiroquai. The whole keyboard sound and distorted bass was brilliant. Sadly missed. Do you know why they left the band? Am interested to find out.

  • Zender left the bend because he wasn't paid well...., Jay drives Ferrari :-)..Zender, not! ... About Smith, I don't know.... But, WHY Nick left Jamiroquai....? His playing was great! :)

  • Play the right notes, Nicky boy!

  • no suena como antes

no tocan = no tocan lo mismo

    ke pena

  • its a trashy f@ckinggggg no nothing-

The hardcore jamiroquai fans KNOW the TRUTH -

this band has gone downhill ever since the third album maybe even the second (the best)

he became what he was singing about...

    just a punk

no respect what so ever-never the less -

    love

  • excellent

  • It´s not an excellent version, it´s just a good version.

  • amazing song, amazing Rhodes

  • Now it occured to me

As I awoke from deeper dreams

    All this evolution

And still I don't know what it means

And it gets so hard for me to change

When there's an easy way to earn

Why should I work my fingers to the bone?

Can you give more than get?

Get down with a conscious train of thought

  • Great song hey. Nick, is fairly good on that bass, love his groove, but unfortunately stuart is flipping brilliaint espescially playing that song. Its my fav song of jk and well stuart zender wht a legend

  • A great song fromt a great band.

A DVD with the full-length concert from the Jazz Festival in Montreux 2003 will be released at October 26th, 2007 :-)

The DVD also includes a 14-minutes Version of "Space Cowboy". I already preordered this DVD ... :-)

  • This is absolutely the best Jamiroquai song. Can listen to it for hours!

  • great band Jamiroquai very progressive.. awsome musicionship toped off with an outstanding front man.. love the music.

  • The bassist pisses me off..where's stuarts FONK !

  • THIS IS REALLY COOL! THAXZ!

  • Derricks drumming is so precise, wht a great performance.

  • Oh this is real cool! Thx
