Any one who plows, do you prefer a diesel or a gas engine? I'd say a beefy v8 would make a good plow truck, diesels are cool and all but I think they're more suited for hauling and towing, than for plowing.
@TheRedComa Diesels are far better for plowing,a gasser needs much higher rpms to generate torque.Where a diesel makes peak torque just above idle and that allows a much more controlled push without having to gun it into the snow to get it moving.Diesels also use much less fuel when pushed hard (almost the same plowing as not) unlike a gas that gets less than half the economy when working hard.Dont get me wrong a good V-8 gasser does work fine but cant touch any diesel.
I think you need to adjust the mount for that plow... When you set the plow down in v and scoop the whole cutting edge isn't on the pavement... Also Angle the blade so the snow goes away from the building and start as close to the building as possible, then work your way out it saves a lot of clean up time... Nice rig!
works good never used one of those type plows myself. The one I use is a old fisher good old plow and solid.,deffinetly not a light weight. But from what I have seen those are handy in tight and odd places. So do you like the new rig though it may take a little bit to get used to.
@delmontcrusier This is my first time running a v plow...I love it...they are super handy and great for pushing back snow banks...So far the truck is running good, but I need to replace the right axle u joint soon...
@pisser20001 I worked in a stable as a kid .He needs a real horse blanket and something to eat to keep warm.I hope they take proper car for him/her .He didn't look like he wanted to move that van for ya :(
