never seen some1 do it that wierd way, you should have 1-2 ranged dps that kites bird untill it dies and then fast nuke down the egg that spawns from its body, then you dont have to worry about a bird burning either you own or the tanks ass for the rest of the fight.
Lol, yep. I did this fight on Heroic, the tank got one-shotted by the Pyroblast (our wonderful DPS couldn't take down the shield -.-) and it was my priest, a rogue, and two oom mages. Let the mages die, they weren't doing anything (hehe) and the rogue and I took him down from 50%. Ownage.
This fight is unimaginably easy with a holy priest. Prayer of mending + 1 dps=fight won. With CoH you can keep the entire party up and still have mana left to dps him if you choose

BTW you made a mistake about the pheonix. It SHOULD NOT BE AVOIDED! Its AOE is extremly dangerous and the pheonix should get downed by Ranged DPS as fast as possible.

Wrong tactic, kill the pheonix and the egg before he reaches 50% and sends u in the air for time lapse. Makes the fight easier especially in heroic mode.

I just did a very exciting fight with him today...everyone but me (Tank) and one of the druids (Healer) kept dying, poor feral druid was constantly being brought back right into an orb (Kael will summon every player in the instance to his room when he casts gravity lapse)
we got here and the tank did bad and got killed everyone oh Beep! and so the mage did ice block my warlock of course just started doting Kaelthas up then i was soulstoned and got killed i used it and came back in time to the gravity thing and it sucked cuz everyone else died the priest died the druiid and pally died then the warrior died then shaman and the other warlock and i died as well and we "damnit" but not as bad as the kara problem
before the Sunwell patch kael was one of the is not the most feared boss in wow some said he was harder than Illidan now he gets owned several times a day....how the mighty have fallen next thing you know arthas will be a reagent vendor

Its [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker] its made with a VERY complicated quest chain starting with 1 or 2 drops from MC's (Molten Core's) final boss, Ragnaros
It would be quite hard to get it now.......at least on my server :P
The only reason it would be hard to get is because not many people run MC anymore. And really the quest isn't complicated at all... You get an item with a small drop %, start it, get 2 more small drop % items, kill Thunderfury. Bam done with the quest and theres your new sword.
I think you shoulda tried to at least shoot him while your flying around...I did about 3k dmg just spamming the shoot button...its really easy to avoid the spheres
no...if it was heroic hed be casting pyroblast too...it hits for like 46K so you have to take his shield down and interrupt it...very fun fight this one
...in the movie I was specced protection... with protection gear... with a level 60 weapon... which even before there were level 61 weapons, was already low on the DPS end.
This is the funnest boss to fight so far in 5 man i rekon, pretty easy if you have a kick-ass group, if you dont down him in the 1st 1-2 times you suck, try doing it on H MgT guys! xD

thunderfury is THE BEST tanking weapon in the game, it is the fastest tank sword that has 3 different procs that help gain aggro and help slow the attackers speed

I disagree. They made perhaps the best 5 man boss ever. Taking elements of that original epic fight to the five man. Hats off to Blizz for it.

ya dude hes pretty easy on normal MGT but if u ever done him on heroic hes hard
when he pops u in the air he does about 600- 1000 magic damge which is insane not only that when he fireballs u it hits up to 9k i mean ive done up to the 3rd boss on heroic but danm it gets hard after that

Yah Kael'thas was a pretty big dissapointment for me... He was too easy and I expected something... more. But oh well... A 5 man raid = Weaker bosses so... Good job Blizzard! Good look on Warcraft the movie and patch 3.0 (next expansion Wotlk) BTW nice video 5/5 for all the people testing and allowing people like me (on the live server) to enjoy the new patches! Thank you Beta-Testers!

thunderfury is THE BEST tanking weapon in the game, it is the fastest tank sword that has 3 different procs that help gain aggro and help slow the attackers speed

AHAHAHAHAH are you retarte...the thunderfury is one of the best in the game for gaining arrgo... it procs soo much it gains arrgo fast..so read up on shit before you say that only SSC Mt.H and BT have better swords for tanking.

nice fighten music, i have tried him 7 times and couldn't get him, mainly because healer either was dead or was out of mana and, now looking back i feel stubid we decided to have a fire mage kite phoenix, got him near 35% and always died, say wats the name of that music its awsome

alot of people are complaning about kael being too weak, well think about it. if 25 people came into your house, kicked your ass, and stole all your stuff, and then you signed a blood pack with a demon lord, then lost all your hair and got a big green crystal stuck in your chest, well i think you may feel a little under the weather too, therefore im sure a group of 5 random dudes can kick your ass.
