ADCO still use MOS(Metal Oxide Semi Conductor Sensors) technology to detect H2S (Fixed gas detectors) which is not a reliable technology. MOS sensors can be poisoned by halides, silicon, heavy metals , glycol etc which are present in paints, grease etc. MOS sensors can also go to sleep. Response time of MOS sensors are more than 2 minutes and need to see H2S gas frequently to keep them live. Electrochemical sensors are much more reliable than MOS sensors.
