  • 5:04 the babes enjoyin such a great gig

  • It doesn't matter how big your drum kit is....if you rule, you rule.

  • one of the best beards of our time

  • the singer... all i can think of any time is he's just a super happy rastafarian africa face. Oh my god i love it!

  • Is there anywhere I can get the footage for the entirety of their set?

  • Hey if you guys like this you should also check out Tangent Transmission! Ive been listening to them ever since I heard them on NCIS:LA and love it. Reminds me of RXB a bit

  • Rx Bandits has a crowd unlike any other.

  • These guys truly embody selfless egoless musicianship. This recording is really raw and pure too. Well, if any of you guys are looking for other music somewhat similar check out Tangent Transmission. They're similar to Mars Volta, Muse, Rage, Tool, and Jeff Buckley. Anyway, enjoy the rest of the music on here. Cheers!

  • The drummer looks like he's about to die of exhaustion...

  • @MrDrumzOrz

and he shall shred that kit in the afterlife.

  • It used to be prescription bandits but then changed to RX bandits, I pretty sure..

  • @TheTomstock It used to be Pharmaceutical Bandits

  • is their name just 'R-X Bandits'? or 'prescription bandits'?

  • hey ! can anybody tell me where can i get this on recording instead of live???

  • @nmzd If you mean the studio version it's on the album '... And the Battle Begun'. If you mean the live version recorded, it's on the 'Live from Bonnaroo 2007' album.

  • dig the bandits?? check out Sonni Shine & the Underwater Sounds, you can hear the bandits influence

  • This is the first time I've ever heard anything by these guys. I dig it. More!

  • @whytepohnee better get out and see them this summer then. RxB calling it quits after their summer tour.

  • @Norcodudes986 damnnnnnnnn. I guess it figures only the annoying suck ass bands keep on with it. lol, maybe that's not completely true..

  • @Megas9X That's exactly what I thought when I first discovered them!

  • the "jim morrison" look going on, this is the first live video i have seen by them, and it makes appreciate them that much further

  • OMG ONE OF THEM IS ASIAN

  • MTV crap has millions of views, that isnt' good.

  • HOW DOES HIS BEARD NOT ITCH?!?! HOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

  • @GRBPRO After about a week's growth it stops itching. And once you grow a beard it doesn't really itch the next time you try growing it.

  • @12toedfeet haha okay thanks for clearing that up.

  • any one see the hot gruopys in the back ground at 3:48

  • ...Super thumbs up for the drummer at 6:15 and on. This is most definitely Bonnaroo music!

  • I hate day time shows, kills the high of the vibe

  • HEY! I WAS HERE!!!!!!! Awesome SHOW!! HAd never even heard of them and then fell in love in love when they played this song! Does anyone see my pink hair?

  • Comment removed

  • i love this song and they are incredible live, probably my favorite band

but when the backing vocals come in at "only for the night" it sounds like shit

  • What's wrong with his nipples???

  • @12toedfeet he used to be fat

  • I loved how they set up the bass directly next the drummer... made the bass and rhythm section that much more noticeable and prominent, which I think a lot of bands have lost in our day and age. :/

  • haha all the white dudes are topless and the asian dude has a shirt on

  • @crabinyoureye Bassist is shirtful!

  • You can hear some semi-similar indie/progressive music at : mouthdemo.bandcamp.com

  • back in his epic beard days. best band.

  • Thank god they found drugs!

  • Comment removed

  • How can three people dislike this? This band is impossible to hate!!

  • davedays on the wind!

  • why does this video not have 3 gazillion views. please everyone! spread the word of the bandits. i promise everyone will be happier.

  • @LetTheBikesOut No cause then we wont be able to see them live in small venues, fuck what you say :D

  • had the pleasure of playing with these dudes in san diego. they are so friggin amazing.

  • man i love them too, they are so good! im going to see them for the first time at the end of this month in Manchester UK. My fella has seen them a few times and met the singer and said he was sound, fingers crossed we might stick around after the gig and see if we can meet him. =)

..not to mention that this groovy tune is indeed groovy.

  • @toddmonster hell yes.

  • i din't know bobby lee played of them.

  • @drum: You don't need a great voice to make great music, it sucks sheets is gone his horn parts really brought a cool element to their music and he was a good guy that was around a really long time. Him leaving may be for the best, idk, but I don't think sheet's voice was ever a negative or a concern.

  • @tippman588: im just saying i didnt like his voice very much. His horn parts were sick as hell. But they have moved on as a band and make up for the lack of horns with more intricate stuff. Better too, i think

  • one of the best bands of our decade

  • whereas most bands sell out and become more and more mainstream as they play together past the 10 and 15 year marks, these guys get better and better. very rare, consider ourselves lucky

  • They are getting more mainstream...or so you could say...BUT, they made it where they are today by experience. Years of playing together and they get bigger every year I would say. I love these guys. I was totally at this show. =D

  • talented band, and Mandala was stellar. It sucks that Sheets is gone, but they're talented enough to continue to be great without him.

  • under an other youtube video I found the info, that he will return when he finished his rehab... not sure if it's right, but I hope so^^ peace

  • I'm kinda glad sheets is out, he doesnt have a very great voice and he's always singing.

  • is that the lead singer?

  • @drum4jesus1991 yeah but thi is live.

listen to their actual songs to hear his real voice.

  • now this is one great band

  • fuckin awesome music, esp the drummer. i like the use of the trombone its key. props

p.s. the singer looks like the geico caveman! wtf?!

  • demasiado buenos en vivo rxb

  • I love RXB they are amazing and totally underappreciated!!

  • ha, matt looks super hippie here..

  • NEW ALBUM COMES OUT NEXT MONTH

  • wats it called?

  • Not sure if somebody's replied about this already but it's called "Mandala", and it's pretty fecking great.

  • thanx

  • I love this song!

I want my ska band to learn it, but i dont think we will b/c we have 4 horn players. ►_►

  • then just cover it and make it different

  • they are f*ckin' awesome!!!

  • they have a very nice drummer!

  • These guys are great. They should be more popular.

  • that would completly go aganist what there for though man

  • streetlight M = manifesto?

if yeah, then wow man, we have the same taste in underground-ish INCREDIBLY talented but non-mainstream bands.. two of my absolute favourite bands.

  • yeah thats what it means

yes it is a great taste especiallly since its not mainstream bullshit

  • sames. also if you don't already know these bands.. capdown, random hand, the cat empire, king prawn, voodoo glow skulls, sonic boom six ... are all bands of the same sort of ska-punk genre however some may be slightly heavier.

also check out rx bandit's record label 'sargent house' on myspace for more similar-to-rxb bands :P (this town needs guns is a good one to check out)

  • woo mee to

  • I agree streetlight. The little gigs are what sets these guys apart too.

  • I was at this! It was amazing! I love Rx bandits so much and personally, this is my favorite song they do! Also, if you haven't gone to Bonnaroo yet, GO!!!

  • awesome music

  • sooooooo great

  • bullshit.

  • such a great band. tooo good

  • Why isn't this set on a DVD or something???

  • Because these exact recordings are on their live album. That kinda upset me cuz I listened to all the youtube videos religiously before the album came out and when I bought the album I realized they were the same. Either way I was still blessed by the music from the heavens :)

  • WELL START LIKING OTHER STUFF THEN

  • One of my favourite bands of all time!

  • Can some one tell me what the sound of animals fighting has to do with this band so I don't have to research it myself. I'm sure someone would love to answer that.

  • yeah the sound of animals fighting sucks rx bandits' dicks that's the relationship

  • SWEET

  • too bad rx bandits pretty much are the sound of animals fighting

  • Actually, the sounds of animals fighting are pretty much the rx bandits... get your facts straight.

  • haha whats funny is that i actually sat there thinking about which way to word that statement but i ended up sounding like a douchebag anyways

  • Haha I didn't mean to put you down like that. I just think it needs to be known that the RX Banditss are the primary force behind TSOAF and not vice versa. I'm a little biased, though, the Bandits are my favorite band.

  • haha its cool

well it is mainly Embrees project and live they were most of the backing band so it pretty simple to see

  • Comment removed

  • ha i realize that youre totally misunderstanding what im writing

  • Comment removed

  • Not exxactly.. darksprivate.

Matthew(lead singer) and some other member of RX plays in the band as a side project.

  • the drummer

  • MUY BUENOS paz

  • That freestyle breakdown around the five minute mark is sick

  • No homo, but i really hope Steve Choi is my girlfriend's cousin. ROFL!!!

  • damn i look soo much like the vocalist..... weird

  • This was one of my highlights of Bonnaroo that year. just freakin' awesome

  • Gahhhh ,love this song ! HELP- can somebody tell me how do i play the trombone part ?!

  • Here's how it's done. First, you learn the appropriate notes. Then press your lips to the mouthpiece, and produce said notes by blowing into it in the right rhythm. Make sure your lips are sealed tightly.

  • lol you make it sound like it's so simple

  • i love them....

  • what snare does tsagakis use?

    its soooo nice

  • I love how the guitarist looks like the random asian dude who's really good at piano. . . oh wait, he is that random asian dude.

  • ...I don't get it, what you just typed makes no sense, please delete your WTF file and refresh youtube. Than you.

  • GREAT SONG

  • one of the most amazing live bands

  • I swear this is the last time..

  • I love at 4:40 C-gak smiles like hes anticipating the awesome jam approaching

  • hes not a caveman! hes jesus!!!

  • jesus is a ninja?

  • haha whered u get ninja from?? lmao

  • i...don't know 0_0

  • actually, only embree could do it like this..

  • chris tsgakis. goddamn.

  • he kinda looks like the geico caveman... :) sorry

  • wow what a great song.. i havent heard this one b4, nice

  • This song for some reason is always great live. Loved this band since their days on Drive Thru Records. After speaking to Matt Embree, I'm GLAD they left that fucking shitter label. Make sure to check out MDB records and the other artists on there. FASHO.

  • does anyone know what cymbals he uses?

  • his ride is a sabian hhx somethin and his crash is a sabian aa i believe, idk what type though

  • oh i was looking more for his hi hat sound its very crisp and clean i play for a ska band and find my hats to be a little washy and not clean

  • mm i suggest zildjian a customs, i don't personally own them, but have played them and they definitely have the crisp sound

  • Tsagakis knows exactly what he's doing.

    Don't question his ways.

  • one of my favourite fucking songs!

    love it =]

    and so good live....

    (L)

  • Isn't it such a shame that people tend to notice only the negative aspects of things? "off key" or "chromatic" or whatever it is, that is so trivial. it sounds beautiful, yeah there are mistakes, but that is part of what makes it so beautiful. I'm so glad the Rx Bandits are not an airbrushed, manufactured band who exploit art for profit. Also, amazing song, amazing musicians...there should be more bands like Rx Bandits, peace.

  • unfuckingbelievably good.

  • favorite fucking song off new album

  • rx bandits are fuckign amazing

  • Drummer needs to tune his toms otherwise amazing performance. PLZ come to Seattle soon!

  • im sure it's just the recording quality, but yeah, they do kind of sound like shit...

still the sickest band ever though...

  • word! they sound like shit, but that doesn't take away from a totally sick performance. I don't really know why, but I kindof like those shitty toms somehow...

  • drummers tune their drums to the sound they want not, what other people want. i think they sound wonderful.

  • word!

  • soundboard recordings are never true to the sound that is coming out of the PA so cool your jets. rxb are the tightest band ive ever seen play live.

  • ive been taught that drums are never "tuned", they are set to a sound the drummer prefers or that fits!

of course left to loose or tight can sound bad with a lot of music,

    but not all!!!

  • idk what some of you people are talking about. these guys are amazing live. they have incredible amounts of energy and talent. its also a very unique style of music.

  • so the trombone player has a lindberg mouthpiece....... hah..

  • Off key notes? So? it's called chromaticism. It's a prominent feature of modern music because it can be used to so easily create tension and add flavours which serve to break up the constant drone of diatonic music.

  • Not just modern music, if you mean modern period yea, but prob everything from the romantic period and on. Its not featured too much in pop music though. Ahh sweet chromaticism how i love thee.

  • y mas abajo en peru

  • i don´t know what drus they are taking... but i want some.....

We are whaiting for you down here in venezuela guys!

  • i always think the same thing everytime i see them.

  • they kinda messed up the "only for the night" chorus.

  • yeah, matt stepped back in that part. his voice "MAKE'S" it there so I don't know why he didn't go for it??? still amazing though.

  • Or a 20" Manhattan Jazz Ride.

I'm not sure, they look a lot alike.

  • I'm almost positive that it's a Sabian 20" Legacy Ride.

  • does anyone know what kinda of ride cymbal chris uses...or the kit he has?

  • yea man hes got a dw and sabians. maybe a crash ride dunno the model, vic firth sticks too

  • Off key? Eh, RXB doesn't need to really need to be in a key sig, they're just that awesome.
