OMG! The demo song is forever branded in my head thanks to a classmate of mine in elementary school who owned this thing and did nothing but play the demo song and dance around with her friends. I swear I and a few of my friends wanted to take that thing and destroy it!
Hey, If I'm considering doing keyboard as in instrument, should I try and get this? or this one of those cheap keyboards for $10 that dont work properly? Not trying to offend anyone, just want to get my moneys worth....
I had this Casio as a little kid. Used to drive my parents up the wall playing that demo song over and over again. Not to mention the shrill "beeeeep!" before every note when I'd hit "record", or something :D
I had this keyboard but mine was blue and had kermit the frog on it. Those only go from a low G to almost a igh B. It also had only four voices witch was a bummer because I woyuld have loved to play a song with the guitar voice.
@danthedonHBB I wondered about that too, midi can be fitted to the casio to allow it to talk to a computer. You need recording equipment and special software. Probably costs a lot, look for some videos and ask the person how they do it.
This unit seems to be quite simillar to the VL-1, at least the sounds are simillar, this one doesn't have the calculator, but appears to have a better speaker.
This brings back memories. I used to have this very model when I was in school. I still have it back home. Classic stuff. I was thinking about that pre-programmed tune and suddenly you played it from 0:36-0:45. Thank-you for posting this short video.
I acutally think I had one similar to this it was a PT-16 I believe. Essentially the same just a black case

Why, oh, why did I ever give away my Casio?!? I took the poor thing for granted and never realized just how retro-cool it would someday be...
