  • I have one and love her to death. Tibetan mastiffs are a great breed of dog if your looking to take in a dog the size of a mini horse. My TM is as good as they get rather it be guarding me and other critters or just being a big fluffy bear to love. I have never seen the this breed turn on a owner and I have worked with many of them.

  • Mongolians got the real Tibetan Mastiff in the true nature.fuck these nail polished hair brushed mix breed show dogs!!!

  • i have a question, do tibetan mastiffs hair naturelly grow in that lion like hair, and what the difference between tibetan mastiif and chinese tibetan mastiffs

  • This dog is amazing. where can i find one ?

  • @mostafasabry15 theyre rare :(

  • @mostafasabry15 Find one??? This dog costs about an average house...I saw some in China when

  • @Bladerspirit999 mh they are not that expensive. I have found 17 Breeders of this dogs here in Europe. They cost about 2000€( 2600$)

  • @silvermoonorca a most expensive costs US$2.5 M now in China... many costs $100,000 to 500,000

even a puppy can cost $30000-40000

you can make a lot of money .... LOL

  • @mostafasabry15 Tibet

  • No mastiff came from Mongolia.

  • @chuckles731 There was only a Hundred of those pure breeds in the world so i guess thats why.

  • 600,000 in china? so... like 60 usd?

  • Ive never heard of a tibetan mastiff, they look like really cool dogs!Does anybody know if they are dangerous in any way?

  • @MrDrzoidberg1 can be EXTREMELY agressive and dangerous!!!!!!!!!

  • they had one special Mastiff in Japan sold for $1,000,000 US , beautiful dog, but insane price

  • @SyrinxPriestOf there was another one that sold for 5 mil, what was special about it do you know?

  • @chuckles731 something about a champion bloodline or where it was rasied and cared for. Not really sure how it could be worth a million US

  • this dog is originated from Tibet but not from china.can't you hear the breed name of this lovely animal,it says."TIBETAN MASTIFF".

  • Big Splash cost 1.5 million and the average tibetan mastiff in china is 600k

  • i like the tibetan mastiff they are gentle dogs, unlike pitbulls, but still they are protective to their masters..

  • @MrBigs72 okay Mrbigs

  • @MrBigs72 dude noone was talking about chinese quality of anything here all i said was in reply to the top comment that we dont have much choise not wearing anything from china and someone was nice enought to let me know that Zara got clothes not made in china and then all of a sudden you come and tell me to calm down and start bringing up quality of chinese clothes haah dude what was your ponit ?

  • How would you brush a dog like that everyday.. damn xD

  • @Aupas very, very, very well, and with a massive amount of patience, lol.

  • I want a Tibetan Mastiff when I get older.

  • Most part of really awesome dogs come from China

  • Aw come on, politics about Tibet on this video's comments?

  • @Ravensteinzh

If it has Tibet in the title, expect comments about tibet.

  • When I have Kids each one of them is getting their own. If I have daughters they're getting 2 and any boy that wants to talk to them will have to deal with them first.

  • I want a tibetan mastiff SOOO BAD i need a big dog like that!

  • Smiling Samoyed at 2:14! Just watched that episode. :)

  • Comment removed

  • 0:25 - That dog is darn near grotesque. :|

"Normal" looing Tibetans are gorgeous, though.

  • 0:16 looks like some jerking off action lmao

  • Zhang Jike's ( TABLE TENNIS 2011 CHAMPION) nickname is a Tibetan Mastiff.

Because he is fierce, and has characteristics like a Tibetan Mastiff

  • These beautiful dogs rule the streets in Nepal and are common. Most of them don't bother anybody but they're definitely top dog and are very territorial towards other dogs. Many people there sell their puppies for $100 each (which is a lot of money in Nepal). Not lying! Bringing one home costs a lot more than that, though.

  • i have been to china many times and i have never herd people eat dogs!!!

  • @theameralnasser umm sadly, Chinese people do eat dogs. I'm Chinese, although I have not seen people eating dogs in front of me, some telelvsion shows do talk about Chinese people in some areas (maybe poor cities) do eat dogs. (even my grandma said she ate dogs before). Though i believe there are less people eating dogs in those popular cities. i love dogs </3

  • These are the cutest big friendly giants! Love playing with my uncles tibetans :)

  • They have a very similar build to rotwielers

  • am i the only one that thinks these dogs are the cutest?

  • they should do about turkish kangal

  • TIBETAN MASTIFF, its weird how the world considers tibet to be a part of china yet we all still consider this dog to be "TIBETAN"...the Chinese government kills thousands of Tibetan people every year but HEY the dogs are awesome so lets keep the dogs and eventually call them CHINESE mastiffs right? -.-

  • @lwhitetea

Tibetans are actually ok with other dogs they're raised with. Tibetan nomads would actually keep them with smaller dogs like the Tibetan Spaniel. The little dog would bark at any intruders and the mastiff would then chase them off or attack them as needed. Just to be on the safe side, get a dog of the opposite sex to avoid any dominance issues between the dogs.

  • please make a douge de bordeaux dog 101

  • They look like lions :3

  • Believe it or not, my friend's uncle got bitten by a Tibetan Mastiff once, once the wrist.

  • GO ARCANINE! :))

  • does anyone know if they will be okay if i have other large (gentle and well trained) dogs as well? or are they mostly solo dogs?

  • 1:05 the dog has black spots on the tongue

  • All of you racist people disgust me.

  • if I ever get a Tibetan Mastiff, I'm gonna be bringing it to parks and dog parks

  • i love the dog videos of animal planet, all dogs are awesome

  • you peeple make me sick

  • Tibetan Mastiff doesnt get along well with second owner, alot injure reported in China

  • In Asia, Tibetian Mastiff is often called the Lion Dog. They are nice and adorable dog. Lots of maintenance for such a big dog.

  • This is the best you tube user EVER and the videos are surprisingly good

  • If I saw one of these in the distance, I'd swear it was a bear. D:

  • @HeadstrongMutt rumour has it that they Tibetan Mastiff can kill a bear!!

  • wait? did the vid say breath takeing bark?! it remides me of the time i almost got killed by some big fuzzy dogs when i wal alone walking near a big feild and BANG im surrounded by them if i moved i know i would have died so my dog fears are over the roof top

  • omg they are really cute!!! but they are also really dangerous and i could never own one as a pet perosnally..... no offense to those of you who do own them!!! also i think 200,000 dollars for a dog is INSANE hehe

  • its like a a chowchow,mixed with a rottweiller,mixed with a saintbernard

  • @SeverFromWithin BIGGER. I had a rottchow and this dog makes him look like a pup.

  • Fuck! That's one hell of a tongue!

  • Chinese murder tibetans and eat dogs but they own tibetan mastifffs?

  • @ixPeaCexi

yeah we do the same to cows birds and fish but we still have them as pets...and not everyone in china eats dog dumbfuck

  • @AndysMouseRatBand Ive never heard of any one eating cow birds. They also dont make good pets. Now we do eat fish but we dont eat any of the aquarium fish. Unless your desperate...then go ahead and knock your self out!

  • @shelton3170

ever heard of sushi?...its a big thing in NY....and if you think your clever by saying "cow birds" how bout you read my comment again...i said COWS BIRDS...two separate things

  • @AndysMouseRatBand 1st If you read my comment again you will see that I said that we eat fish. 2nd What are you calling "COWS BIRDS"? I made the comment based on the belief that you were talking about a Cowbird or a Cattle Egret. If not please let me know.

  • @AndysMouseRatBand But I still agree with your comment to @ixPeaCexi

  • @AndysMouseRatBand we? I don't. I'm not a killer.

  • @ixPeaCexi You hate on China but everything you wear + use is from China?

  • @thanksxforxthexvenom and most surely what hes watching this right now is made in china xD

  • @thanksxforxthexvenom Lol that is true!! But the reality is a lot of local Chinese people are bad guys. I've known some really kind ones and some really mean ones. I guess the only things you can completely trust that is Chinese is Chow Chows, Shar-Pei, and other Chinese dogs.

  • @thanksxforxthexvenom Yup. I don't hate Chinese things. I just hate Chinese people :)

  • @thanksxforxthexvenom Why hate China? Racist bitch! XD

  • @thanksxforxthexvenom hahaha yea and the only reason everything is made in communist China is because the billonaire corporation founders wanted to save a few bucks so they pay children in china 13 cents an hour to make our shoes. Then the commie gov. takes the rest of their earnings and buys nukes. NOT SOMETHING TO BRAG ABOUT. And we as consumers cant neccasarily boycott everything we need, just cuz its made in china.

  • @GIsupersoldier I agree that it's not good that the working conditions are bad but consumers in developed countries are also creating the demand for these products to made cheaper + faster + in large quantities. The companies also have a hand in CHOOSING where to build their products. Even a rich company like Apple manufactures parts in China when they could've made their products in the USA. Don't be a bigot

  • @thanksxforxthexvenom yea you are right that pretty much everything we buy here in the US could be manufactured here.

  • @thanksxforxthexvenom there isn't much choice. Corporations abuse china becuase the people will work for nothing.

  • @william9545 So then the blame is on the corporation because they want to increase their profit margins.... There is always a choice lol. Some big companies don't manufacture in China

  • @thanksxforxthexvenom just becouse you hate clouds doesnt mean you hate water (see what i did there^^) and pretty much everything is made is china so what other choice is there if you dont want to go nude :D?

  • @NarowAR07 Major retailer that barely uses China's sweatshops=Zara. =)

  • @thanksxforxthexvenom oh i was not aware of that thanks for the heads up !

  • The Tibetan Mastiffs in China look very different from the ones in the U.S. & Europe because the filthy Chinks keep the best quality TMs for themselves. Haven't any of you noticed that Western Tibetan Mastiffs look like a different breed from the ones you see in China & Tibet?

  • @jfkjrlover The tibetan looks similar to the European ore nearly the same but the AMerican and CHinees are overbred

  • @jfkjrlover And in the Video are only Chinees and maybe 1 ore 2 americans

  • @jfkjrlover Similar case for japanese Koi fish....

  • I wish they would make a Dogs 101 about Tibetan Spaniels T_T

  • When I was a kid, we had a toy poodle. My neighbor's dog, a tibetan mastiff, got free and killed our dog. :(

  • I heard a pair of Tibetan Mastiffs once killed some tigers while guarding sheep.

    That shit is scary.

  • @Royours Hahaha, a canine, even if it's in a pair, is still at odds against any big cat in general. Forget a lion. If only canines had bigger paws. Much bigger paws!

  • This is the breed that was used in the 1993 movie man's best friend. His charactor name was max.

  • Tibetan Mastiffs had been raised by the Tibetan people long ago to herd sheep and trained to protect sheep herd from bears and wolves. Tibetan Mastiffs that were raised by the Tibetan people tend to live with a family(pack) and very territorial just like a pack of wolves.

Learn about Petition Thresholds Signatures needed by November 11, 2011 to reach goal of 25,000

we petition the obama administration to: calls upon the People's Republic of China to put an end to its repression in Tibet as demonstrated by the ongoing unrest

I am writing this letter to draw your kind attention to the tense situation in Tibet due to the Chinese authorities’ increased restriction in the wake of a series of self-immolation by Tibetans in Ngaba Tibetan region...

  • 1 of the best n loyal dogs i ever had! i raised my tibetan mastiff wit me since i was 5 n grew up with me 4 many yrs. 4 all da trouble he put me thru he was still my best fren. i still remmbr when they had 2 put him 2 sleep due to his old age(13yr1/4). hope he's doin well in doggy heaven!!

  • it looks like tibetan mastiff, happy

  • While these dogs are large no doubt, the hair makes them look much bigger than they really are. They are nowhere near the size of an English Mastiff. The English Mastiff has no hair to blow up the size and is the largest of all breeds.

  • 0:24 so cute kinda

  • this is the dream dog i ever wanted .. in my life :) they will scare any 1 who will get near my house even my dead relatives :D aww rest in peace to my grand dad BTW hehe :)

  • Comment removed

  • Suddenly, a wild commercial appeared before the video.

  • They aren't slow despite the size. They can run like the wind and catch up to any trespasser trying to run away with stolen livestock. I've read they aren't biters though, but instead pin a person down and bark in their face until the master comes and pulls the dog off.

  • Grrr I want one but I have allergies :(

  • he looks like a yak in 0:24

  • ITS SO FLUFFY!!

  • ITS A FLUFFY ROTTWEILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Considering they were bred to fight wolves (read: wolveS. Not a single wolf, a good mastiff is said to be able to take on 3 wolves), it's not surprising that they're large and protective. But also absolutely gorgeous. When I went to Tibet I nearly came home with one.

  • Here's to the Chinese keeping dogs as pets not food :D

  • Hmm... My uncle has six of them 2 of which are show dogs.

  • despite being giants their very pretty lmao!!!!!

  • heheh. not all chinese eat dogs. actualy, most of them, dont.

  • I think that this dog wouldve been a better cujo then a st. bernard.

  • is there a breed of medium to big dogs thats not suffering from hip dysplasia?!

  • @routhoula very unlikely, the disease occurs because of the large size

  • As a TM owner, I can attest to this breed's intelligence and destructive nature as a puppy. "Stubborn" is an understatement, it sheds most of the year, is very weary of strangers, and very protective of the family, esp children. Its attitude resembles a cat and only comes to be pet whenever it feels like it. Daily walks and socialization are a must!!!

  • they are the ultimate guard dogs.

they are extremely loyal to its owner.

but if you don't train them and social them, they will kill your mailman

  • @yourcup0322 LMAO

  • @yourcup0322 haha kill ur mailman... !

  • @yourcup0322 Darn mail lady never closing the mailbox all the way anyhow!

  • @yourcup0322 now if ii was to breed this with a great dane, nefoundland, and st bernard what would be the outcome

  • @yourcup0322 if their bark doesnt scare the piss out of him first.

  • @yourcup0322 lol they will kill your mail man

  • what`s that breed at 2:14 ?

  • @seseeeee an american eskimo or samoyed

  • Fuck this... Look for the caucasian ovcharka.... The strongest most dangerous dog in the world!!!

  • Look! It's Mouse! (dresden files reference ftw))

  • Potala Palace? WTH!?

  • 25 Chihuahua´s :D

  • @666darkhawk Depends on the type of dog. They are a very dominant breed, so I would not suggest mixing them with a breed like huskies. The gender of the other dog is also important. If they are the same gender you could end up with another serious problem and possibly with one dead dog.

  • @SirTimbo They are great farm dogs, but you would need a fence. They have high pray drive. It's not such a problem when you live in the Tibetan wilderness with no one living within 20 miles, but it is a problem in any populated region. I worry less about my dog getting lost and more about her getting stolen or hit by a car.

  • @cclayrox They are the only dry mouth large breed that lives to 14 years of age. They don't shed a lot if you blow it out in the 1st week. They are stubborn, which is only a problem if you won't know what you are doing. Yes they are a guardian breed, which has saved my life more than once. If you extensively know the family history, hips should not be a problem, but I would suggest finding a good breeder for any dog purchase. Good luck at finding the right dog for you.

  • I like it the episode, but they missed many key points. Two of those points is that they are hypo-allergenic and do not shed for the remainder of the year. They do not need hair cuts either. I love my TM, but I agree that if you do not have the time to socialize them when they are young, you should no get one. It takes a highly experienced/ talented dog owner to train a TM. I love mine and plan on always having one by my side.

  • it was 2million and his name was big splash 2 idk y they would put a number in it

  • they are like fluffy huge rotties

  • /watch?v=TxflLj5Vvzg

  • im gettin a tibetan mastiff .........try doing dogo argentino dogs 101

  • I have one of these they really brave they do bark alot to stranger

  • do morkies ( yorkie and maltese ) :)

  • @pixelmania90 morkie is a MUTT, you idiot!

Sorry you got scammed by a BYB.

  • no they need to make a American bulldog one

  • dont fuck with him, or he can literally eat you

  • i love how its like "the tibetan mastiff does well in cold and dry climates, and needs a big yard, lots of health issues, sheds a LOT, is stubborn, and very protective to owners but not so much to strangers" wow that sounds like a *great* dog :D

  • @cclayrox that's a great farm dog. Wouldn't even need the fence.

  • they should make one about Manchester terriers!!!

  • u know how bad that thing will fuck you up i mean damn

  • I love how they weigh dogs in Chihuahuas:)

  • i want there to be a french mastif episode

  • @marioruiz15 so it's oke if i kill you??? and if you dont like them then dont watch it!.
